Gobble Up New Stamps…

Posted by Jen | The Cat's Pajamas, cards | Thursday, October 22, 2009

Looks like everyone is enjoying the Blog Hop creation in the post below. Here is another card using the Gobble It Up set from The Cat’s Pajamas

givethanks

This card uses several of the images from the set to create a scene, along with the sentiment from the new set. I love how easy it was to create a scene with this set. I don’t generally think of myself as having a talent for setting or creating a scene using stamps, and certainly envy those with a knack for it.

I’m glad that Friday is almost here! This week feels like it is dragging! I’m teaching some more Copic classes at Scrapper’s Boutique this weekend. I am behind on prepping because of working at the preschool 3 days this week. At least I am sleeping well from being so wiped out. I’m not complaining, though, because I am loving both jobs. They are certainly keeping me on my toes!

I’ll be back with some more posts soon!! Hope you have a great weekend!

TCP Release Blog Hop…

Posted by Jen | The Cat's Pajamas, blog hopping, cards, challenges, projects | Monday, October 19, 2009

Hello there! Hopefully you made it here via Tracy’s blog along the blog hop. If you happened to get here by chance, be sure to start at the beginning {on Toni’s blog}. Toni’s the Hipster Hostess with the Mostess this week and she is bringing you an awesome inspiration challenge {gotta love anything that is inspired by Pottery Barn goodness!}.

Well, it’s time for another release from Alma and that crazy cat {Sprinkle}, dog {Poochie} and penguin {yet to be named} that make up The Cat’s Pajamas entourage. For the hop I created a little Pie Tasting invite, or possible a little note to attach to a pie…

This lil’ ditty use both of the new releases, Gobble It Up and the Baby Doll alphabet. Love ‘em! Well, you better get hoppin’ on over to the last post the hop and find out what Alma has in store for you!!

Psst…don’t forget to leave a comment here, and at each post along the way, for a chance to win some $$ to spend on TCP stamps! You can also have a chance to win some $$ by playing along with the inspiration challenge and uploading your creation on Alma’s blog.

WINNER OF THE GOODIE BAG from last week’s sketch…
{number was randomly chosen by Tony}

#18 JOHNA with THIS card.
**we had to giggle that when we went to link the card that it’s a “Sooner” blog. I swear that this is 100% purely coincidental!!!**

–>Johna, email me with all your info and I will get your lil’ somethin’ somethin’ in the mail to you this week :)

Happy Saturday and Happy OU/TX weekend! Boomer Sooner! It’s another fun weekend here in the del Muro house. Ellie got her first bike last night {although we might end up switching it for a different kind} and I am working and teaching today at Scrapper’s Boutique. I am thoroughly looking forward to a fun family day on Sunday!

Here’s this week’s sketch…

My sample is coming a little later. Between prepping for class and working, I just plain ran out of time. I have the card in my head, though…does that count?

ABC Friday: i {heart} Prism…

Posted by Jen | ABC Friday, Guest Designer, Prism, projects | Friday, October 16, 2009

Check out the Blog Candy for a Cause on Nikki Schmaltz’s blog!!

Greetings and TGIF! On Monday it seemed like it should have been Friday already and now that it’s Friday, I’m sitting here thinking “Already!?” This morning I am doing my glucose tolerance test…blech! I am now 27 weeks along and feeling great! I am HUGE already, but thoroughly enjoying my pregnancy. I don’t have any new pics to show, but when I do I will be sure to share.

Today, I am being introduced as one of the October Guest Designers on the Prism Blog. I created a “Boo Box” for the blog post. Here is a lil’ sneak peek of my design {full pics of this project on the Prism blog}…

Here’s another project that I created using Prism Papers…

I created this little bag as a giftie for one of Ellie’s teachers. I started with a piece of kraft cardstock measuring 9″ x 6″. Along the 6″ side, I scored at 1.5″, 4.5″ and 6″. Along the 9″ side, I scored the paper at 1.5″. This created a bag that measured 1.5″ on the sides, 3″ on the front and back and 1.5″ depth. I used my Nestabilities to create the window in the front, which is lined with acetate on the inside. For added detail, I created a handle and flag-ended the ends and added buttons tied off with twine. The apple is from a die cut sheet from Cosmo Cricket that I have been hoarding and the sentiment {also flag-ended} is from Papertrey. The sides are embossed with the Argyle Cuttlebug embossing folder. Finally, I filled the bag up with some yummies…Werther’s.

Prism Paper used: White Prismatic (W031-D), Blush Red Dark (R049-E), Spring Willow Medium (G431-D), Kraft BR270-D

EDITED TO ADD…
My comments are apparently not working on my blog at this time {noon on Friday}, but should be {better be} up later tonight!

EDITED TO ADD… some more…
Everything is working again!

Who’s Got The Button?…hopefully YOU! This week’s TCP Tuesday Challenge is brought to you by Hipster Hostess with the Mostess, Amy Rohl. She is challenging you to use BUTTONS!! I broke out my TCP Buttons and the soon to be released set, Gobble It Up and came up with this lil’ number…

gobblegobble

You can use buttons anyway you want, so break ‘em out and have some fun! The details on how to play along have changed a little…
Here are the deets.
1. Each a week one of The Cat’s Pajamas DT members will host a challenge.
2. The challenges will vary {stamp, techinque, color, theme, sketch, etc.}
3. You will have until the end of the month to complete the challenge.
4. Post your design to the guestbook on Alma’s blog.
5. TCP stamps are not required, but of course, highly encouraged. {Unless it is a challenge calling for a specific stamp}
6. There will be one winner each month. They will be deemed that month’s Swankiest Stamper and get $25 in Cat’s Cash {money to spend on the TCP site!}.
7. Only designs posted to the guestbook will be considered for the Swanky Stamper.
8. The newly crowned Swanky Stamper will be announced on the First of the Month and have his/her winning entry posted on The Cat’s Pajamas website where he/she will reign for the entire month.
