TCP Tuesday Stamp Challenge…

Posted by Jen | Holidays, The Cat's Pajamas, challenges, projects | Sunday, December 18, 2011

I’m running a wee bit behind on last week’s challenge for The Cat’s Pajamas…sorry! I usually am stamping right along with my calendar, which has been packed lately. Unfortunately, that kind of scheduling doesn’t allow for me getting food poisoning and puking for 10 hours straight. Good thing is that I am all better now…6 lbs lighter even! Next time I’ll take 10+ grueling hours at the gym to lose that weight!

Last week’s challenge was to use any TCP Christmas/Holiday stamps in your card/project, along with the Big Scallop CutUps die. I made homemade peppermint bark for Nic and Ellie’s teachers this year and packaged them in clear paint cans…

The can topper is created from the TCP Easy Rosette and Snowflake {cut from felt} CutUps dies. I used the “Merry Wishes” sentiment from the Merry Wishes set

Tag I printed from the computer…

Susan is your Hipster Hostess with the Mostess this week and you can see her creation HERE. To upload your creation, please see THIS POST on Alma’s blog.

**I am taking the next 2 weeks off from blogging except for a couple of posts previously committed to and, of course, the Christmas Day SFYTT giveaway.**

Market Street Stamps Guest Designer…

YIPPPEEEE…I can finally tell ya that I am one the Guest Designers over at Market Street Stamps this month!

I first saw MSS stuff popping up on Facebook and it really piqued my interest. Upon going to their site the first time, I called up a friend and asked her if she had seen their stuff. We ended up browsing their site together and ooohing and aaaawing at all the cutie patootie sets they had. Since then, they have added a bunch more and my wish list keeps growing! Thank you to Market Street Stamps for having me as a guest this month!

The first card I created uses the set BLAST OFF! This set totally appealed to the mama of a boy side of me…

The image was super fun and easy to paper piece. I have a 6 x 6 pad of “To the Moon” from Fancy Pants that had been waiting for this image to complement! I paper pieced the rocket ship with a one of the papers that has rockets all over it {tone on tone} and then added more “boy” hues around it. I really like the way it came out…I have to say that half way through, I was a little skeptical.

This second card uses the set GONE CAMPIN which is the first set that I fell in love with from MSS. I noted on my post on the Market Street blog that I am just waiting for someone to have a bad day so I can make a card with the mosquito and “Sometimes Life Just Sucks” sentiment…LOL!!
