Happy Saturday everyone! Last night I got together with a bunch of the SCS girls in Arlington to hash out the new catty. There is a ton of really good stuff in there!! In years past there have been sets that have just popped out at me that I “just had to have.” This year there are A LOT of sets that I **REALLY** like, but I can’t say that there was one that absolutely won me over. Thanks so Emily for organizing the lil’ shindig!

Anyhoooooo…
I made a couple cards using the My Favorite Things Hit The Beach set…which is being released tomorrow. The top card uses the new Sky Blue cardstock from SU! I used Fantastix to color in part of the towel in Sky Blue, as well. You gotta check out Fantastix. You can pretty much just make a marker in any color. I thought that they would be more like blender pens, but they are not wet. You just add your ink to them and color. Pretty stinkin’ clever! The second card shown is so much cuter in real life. It’s hard to take a good pic of a white card when your natural light is next to nil. Yes, it’s a simple card, but way cute (well, that’s my opinion…**wink**). The base of the card is on PaperTrey white cardstock. I **LOVE** this cardstock as a base. I do find that it does not take my images as well as the SU! Whisper White, though, so I stamped and colored the image on Whisper White. The sentiment is on the PTI base. This leads me to the challenge I have for you…

Challenge:
Create a card using (and mostly showing) a white card base. When I say “mostly showing” I mean don’t cover all of the white with another sheet (that kinda defeats the whole purpose, ya know?). Be sure to link your project to this post!

I’m feeling a little better today. I’m not sure if it was a stomach bug or an allergic reaction, but either way, it was NOT pleasant!
I’m working on some stuff for the new My Favorite Things release, so I have pulled a card out that I did for a stamp camp. It’s a really easy card, but everyone enjoyed making it. I especially like the layout, because it works for so many sets.

Just dropping in to say hi to everyone that comes here daily. There will be no stamping for me today, as I am sick in bed. Thank goodness for DH that was able to take Ellie this morning and my friend that has her now.

This is another new stamp from Impress Rubber Stamps. I stumbled across them a few years ago when I first got into stamping. Their images are darling and I have become quite fond of some of the other products they carry. I {HEART} their plastic boxes to package cards in. The quality is way better than I expected…super thick plastic! I have also purchased liquid pearls and punches from them, as well.
This card was made with no certain recipient in mind, but I am sure that it will get sent to someone soon. Over the past couple years I think that I have made and sent at least a dozen baby cards to friends, and round two is beginning for a few of them.
The DP used on this card is from Crafty Secrets. While a lot of their stuff is not really my style, I must comment on what wonderful quality products they do have. This DP was super thick and was easy to ink the edges evenly.
