It’s day Day 4 of Teasers for My Favorite Things and the eve of the release! It’s also the last day to enter the Guest Designer contest {it closes at 10PM EST}. Today I get to show you the newest set from the Jolinne line, Friendship is a Shelter…

Her wool coat is a little extra wool-y, since I had to work a little magic after a sweet lil’ 4 year old wanted to “see if it was dry yet.” It’s a good thing she’s cute

The umbrella is popped up and then I glued down each side to make it look more spherical…or half spherical. I also put a thin layer of Diamond Glaze on top of it…

Monday morning greetings! It’s DAY 3 for MFT Teasers {DAY 1 here}. Can you believe a new My Favorite Things release is already upon us this Wednesday? Time flies when you’re having fun, I guess! Today you will find many of the DT Members peeking one of MFT’s most popular lines…Pure Innocence.

This card features the new Pure Innocence, Sending a Box of Love…

I popped up the chocolate box…

A little story…
I didn’t originally plan on popping up the box of chocolates, but as soon as I laid down the paper pieces for her dress, I knew I “had to.” At the time, I didn’t have a spare moment to color another box of chocolates and cut it out, so I got out my Exacto knife and cut it out. In hindsight, I probably spent the same amount of time trying to precisely cut out the box as it would have taken to color another image. As Ellie would say, “Classic Mama!”

I am totally in love with the Hearts a Plenty Die-Namics and have actually used them numerous times. I hadn’t planned on using them on this card, though. LOL! You know that little saying, “It’s not a mistake, it’s an opportunity to embellish?” Let’s just saying this card is proof of that!

By the way, here’s what the Hearts a Plenty Die-Namics looks like. Pretty cute, huh?…

When I was growing up in the sixties, we were all aware of being green and being healthy. Living in San Francisco, we took recycling and conservation like a duck to water. I guess there is a little hippie in me, because when there was a resurgence in green living and recycling recently, I got excited that more people were getting involved in living healthy, happier lives. And since Anthony’s heart attack it made me really aware of being “Heart Healthy”, too. So when Susan Blanchard did this drawing for me of this Santa, I just had to smile. A green, politically correct Santa, delivering his gifts via wind and Santa power. Good for the environment and good for his heart. Literally. Gotta love it.

A huge THANKS to Stephanie Muzzulin, this month’s Designer of the Month. She created several one of a kind beauties and this one is no exception…

This month’s theme for the Verve Project Parade is Triple Play! All of the designers have created a trio of Verve goodness for all Verve fans to feast on. I created 3 jars filled with homemade caramel sauce and topped them with pretty jar toppers. You can see all those jars HERE on the Verve blog. Here is the recipe for the DELICIOUS CARAMEL SAUCE {adapted from the HowDoesShe? recipe}

3/4 c. white sugar
3/4 c. light brown sugar
7 T salted butter
1/4 c. light corn syrup
2/3 c. warm heavy whipping cream

1. Heat sugars, butter, and corn syrup to a boil, stirring constantly.
2. Turn heat to lowest setting for 12 minutes, lightly stirring occassionally.
3. Remove from heat for 6 minutes, stirring once.
4. Stir in warm heavy whipping cream and pour into jars and allow to cool.
5. Enjoy! Refrigerate any portion you don’t immediately inhale You can heat up small portions to drizzle {pour} over apple pie or…I mean AND…ice cream.

I haven’t tried this yet, but I have heard that you can replace a few tablespoons of the heavy whipping cream with flavored creamer {I’m thinking vanilla would be DIVINE!!}, orange juice or whiskey, even! You can also make cinnamon caramel sauce by adding in a cinnamon stick when you remove the sauce from the heat. Discard cinnamon stick before jarring.

I’ve heard a lot of buzz about the new release from The Cat’s Pajamas…it’s well deserved, for sure! This is probably my favorite release from TCP! I think that there is a little bit of something for everyone out there! I have a few more cards to show that I haven’t already posted. If you were at the release party on SCS, these might look a little familiar…
