Greetings ghouls! You’ve stumbled upon a post along the TCP haunted hop. If you arrived here unexpectedly, please begin your journey at the home of the {not-so} evil {not very…well, most of the time} witchy… Susan. She has instructions for you on how to play along and possibly win some spooooky prizes, including new embellishments from The Cat’s Pajamas!
If you are hopping along, you should have come here from Amanda’s blog and when you leave here, you will hop over to Alice’s blog.
Here’s my card…
hauntedhop09

This card uses the Fright Night set along with new German glass glitter and buttons. I started off with a white card base and built upon it with a combination of papers from the DCWV Halloween Stack and Kraft, White and Prism Intense Kiwi cardstock. The images are stamped with Brilliance Graphite Black and colored in with Copic markers.

Here are the deets you need to know if you are playing along with this spooky spell…

1. You have a chance to win the Fright Night Clearly Swanky set, along with the new German Glass Glitter and Hocus Pocus Buttons.
2. In order to have a chance to win, you must leave a comment on each person’s Haunted Hop post. Just start at the beginning and follow the names along the way.
3. If you would like to play along, you may upload your card directly to the guestbook on Alma’s blog.
4. Winner will be announce on October 2nd on Alma’s blog.

Good luck and have fun!!

Lulu Blog Hop and a Sketch For You To Try…

Posted by Jen | Bella, blog hopping, challenges, designer of the month | Saturday, September 26, 2009

Greetings all! It’s been a wonderful week in the del Muro household. Tony’s mom and grandma are visiting from San Diego and we are having lots of fun! Ellie adores them. She keeps asking if they are going home yet, which makes it sound like she wants them to leave. In reality, she wants to make sure that they aren’t going anywhere yet. It’s real sweet that she asks a few times a day! We went to Sam Moon sans Ellie yesterday and I got a GREAT new purse. I will have to share pics later. As I type this, I am being waited on hand a foot and am being brought a brownie a la mode…YUM-O! Of course, it’s not for me…it’s for the baby!

Let’s get rollin’ on the Lulu blog hop with a Sketch For You To Try…
If you hopped here first, you might want to start at the beginning on the Stamping Bella blog. Otherwise, you should have come here via my friend, Debbie. When you are all done here, be sure to hop on over to Tiffaney’s blog!

How about a prize? In addition to the fabulous eye candy, we have decided to hide a prize somewhere along the hop! One pre-selected blogger will draw a random winner from the comments on her post, and the winner will receive a $25 Gift Voucher to Stamping Bella!!! The fun part is…we’re not telling you who it is! So as you hop, make sure you leave comments on every post so you have a chance to win!! We will announce the winner on Monday in the Splitcoast forum. MWAH!

Trick or Treat…

Happy Monday All! I had a great time this weekend. I taught at Scrapper’s Boutique on Saturday and then on Sunday we went to the Fort Worth Zoo with some friends and their kiddos. Ellie scraped up her knees pretty good when she was running around after lunch, but was cheered up quickly with a chocolate ice cream cone and front row seats to the animal show.

Today I am excited to show you a cute lil’ project featuring another one of the Organizer Boxes from Glue Art & Paper Studio. I turned this one into a sweet candy holder for Halloween. It doubles as decor for my front table…BONUS! Just don’t ask how long the candy will last between now and Halloween!

The lettering is from the Slice Spook Alley design card {love this card!} and is cut from Bazzill Swiss Dots black paper…

A couple more detail shots {I couldn’t resist posting the lollipop one!}…

Since the box comes “bare,” I started by painting it black with a foam brush. I like using a foam brush because I am less likely to get streaky lines that are sometimes left behind from a bristle brush. The pumpkin paper on the front is from Reminisce and is matted with white cardstock for a tiny bit of “pop.” The green paper that is punched with a Martha Steward border punch and stitched on is from My Little Shoe Box {such a cute co. name!}. The black polka dot paper on the sides is from Martha Stewart. On top of that black polka dot paper I die cut a couple of spiderwebs with the Spook Alley design card. Finally, I dumped put some colorful lollipops in to make it complete. Before I forget the itty-bitty details…the bat punch is from Martha Stewart and I covered them in black Stickles and the black rhinestones are Taylor’s Tiny Twinkles.
