My Favorite Things will be releasing a new mini set and My Favorite 48 {see details below on MF48}. I wanted to share with you 2 shower cards that I made using the new mini, Shower Time. I love that the umbrella is a “blank” image so the possibilities are really endless. On the pink card I stamped {and pieced} the umbrella with the dotted background from MFT’s Behind The Scenes. On the blue card {which can be used for a boy shower or any general use} I used a variety of different American Crafts “The Goods” line of papers on the base of the card and coordinated the umbrella to match by piecing it again. On this card, I also smothered the umbrella with Crystal Effects because I wanted it to be like one of those plastic umbrellas. I have never had one of those, but whenever I see one, I am always drawn to it.

Well, as promised, I am starting my sneak peeks into the mini set and items that will be available on September 1st through MY FAVORITE THINGS.
Creative genius, Kim, over at MFT has put together a sweeeeeet deal for all of you that love Prismas!! It’s called MY FAVORITE 48. What the heck is that, you ask?
MY FAVORITE 48 is a collection of hand picked Prismacolor Premier pencils selected from all 132 colors. The collection comes with an alterable clear paint can that you can use to store your pencils in, a Pebbles click eraser, a sanding block and a collection of blending stumps. All of that goodness for $75….

But, wait, there’s more!!! {sorry, I just couldn’t resist that line!!!}…

During the entire month of September, Kim is throwing in the new mini set…FOR FREE! After September, you can add the current mini to the MY FAVORITE 48 deal for just $5!

Not too much to yipyap about here. I got to do the sketch challenge {SC139}…on the day the challenge was issued…woooohoooo!! I had so much trouble choosing a main image. First it was flowers, then it was stacked presents, then it was balloons. Finally, I “settled” on the gift and ribbon from the SU! Eat Cake set. Can you tell I like pink and green together??? Haha! You’ll be seeing it again by the end of the week!

Julee just gave us some sneak peeks at the upcoming Verve Visual sets and oh my!! They are great!! You certainly won’t be disappointed!! Today’s card uses yesterday’s color challenge (CC129) from SCS {Purely Pomegranate, Pretty In Pink and Old Olive}. I didn’t get a chance to play until last night, but I had it in my head all day what I wanted to do…kinda like I have it in my head what I want to do with the sketch challenge, but I’m not sure when I’m actually gonna get to it.

Here’s my card using Verve Visual’s Fancy Florals set, which is the current new release. The card measures 5″ square {my favorite size}. The ribbon is threaded through holes punched in the top panel. The round focal panel has a rhinestone in the center of the flower, and the flowers on the other panel have liquid pearls in the center.
