Sites of the week

I’m sitting here writing this post Tuesday evening while a Big Bang Theory rerun is playing and I am wishing and hoping that this tickle in my throat is not the onset of something bigger and badder {as the disgusting tablet of Zicam slowly dissolves}! I cannot get sick now…and I fear exposing Nic to anything since he has had such a rough go at it for the last few months! For you that pray, please pray. For those that send good vibes, I could use some! Thanks!

I’m pretty happy that I my TCP Tuesday card for this week make last week {how I am still ahead on my stuff is beyond me!}. This week’s TCP Tuesday challenge is hosted by Lori and she has some great spring colors for us to work with…

I reached for my CutUps dies from The Cat’s Pajamas and brought out the Lacey Butterfly to play with…

The sentiment is from Bearing Flowers, which makes me think that the Sunflower Rosette CutUps would be really cute in place of the butterflies, too! Hmmm…

As you can see, I’m sticking with the clean and simple design that I am becoming so fond of lately. The white circles {matted with dark gray} are embossed to add texture and visual interest. The rhinestones at the center of each butterfly were a last minute addition..

Looks like you all, or as they say around here “y’all,” are pretty excited about the new release from Market Street Stamps! I have had a ton of fun putting together projects for this release and I had even more fun with the MSS girls {and Jorge} at CHA last month! As I mentioned yesterday, 3 new sets plus a background will be released on Thursday. Today, the design team is featuring 2 of the new sets: Riding By and Neighborhood. Here’s a sweet and simple card that I made using the new RIDING BY set…

I stamped the chevron pattern in a rainbow pattern to add a little fun and whimsy to the card. Rarely do I reach for my colored ink pads anymore, but I just love the way the colors pop off the white.

-We’ll show you Sneak Peek images from our sets Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday. Sneak peeks are scheduled for 7 pm CST.

-For ONE WHOLE WEEK after that, new sets are 15% off individually or 25% off if you buy that month’s bundle (all sets in the release).

This is the largest of the sets being released on Thursday. Over the next few days, you will set the other two sets and and new background being sneak peeked, too.

A few more details…
-The new release stamps will be “sneaked” on the MSS blog Monday-Wednesday at 7PM Central Time!
-The full sets will be revealed on Thursday night!
-Stamps will be available for sale following the reveal Thursday night!
-Want to save a few bucks?…The new release stamps will be 15% off in the store for an entire week following the release!! Want all of the sets? If you order the whole release they’ll be 25% off for an entire week!!

This card uses the Verve set, TO THE MOON and I created the bow tie with the small triangle Pennants CutUps die. When I thought I was finished with this card, I wasn’t thrilled with it in its entirety, so I took it apart and made a few changes, including the flag ended panel and embossing, to get to this. This is not fun to do when you use glue…LOL!
