Sites of the week

I am so excited that it’s Friday! I have a ton of housework to do today, but that’s ok, my house needs it. There are also more Dare To Get Dirty challenges on SCS for Fan Club members. Tomorrow I am teaching Copic 1 and 2 at the Scrapper’s Boutique. These classes are closed for registration, but I have 2 more days in August and at least one more in September that I will be teaching.

I have several projects to show you, too! The first one is a CD holder that I made with the new The Cat’s Pajamas stamps {and the cool new Nightie alpha that was released a couple months ago}. The instructions came from the super talented Cambria and can be found on her CD holder HERE. This project also contains the new line of TCP embellishments: {German glass} glitter, buttons and ribbon.

Next up is my card for today’s Bellarific Friday. This card did not turn out the way that I wanted it to. I colored the image with red and light blue, trying to give a “diner” type feel. I don’t think I came through with the papers. Ugh! That happens from time to time. This card will probably keep it’s home in my studio.

All of the paper and embellishments are from Stamping Bella, as well. Love those frosted acrylic accents!! YUM!

Today is the first day of DARE TO GET DIRTY ‘09 on Splitcoast. You can read more about it in the DTGD ‘09 Forum, which is also where all the challenges will be posted. For the next three days there will be several challenges posted each day. The first 3 of the day are challenges celebrating previous Dirty Dozen galleries. Since I am kicking off this event, I could think of a better gallery to chose but the very first one…TAG ART.

I love release days and today is release day for The Cat’s Pajamas {affectionately known as TCP}. Not only are 3 stamps sets being released, but there are fun new embellishments, too! There are new exclusive buttons, a ribbon pack and a package of colored German glass glitter…SPAR-KA-LAY!!!

So, as I said before, you can comment on each DT Member’s post {yes, we will check} and have your chance to win all three new sets. You can also play along and have a chance to win some money to spend in the TCP store. Here’s how…

1. Each a week one of the The Cat’s Pajamas DT Members will host a challenge.
2. The challenges will vary {stamp, color, theme/inspiration, sketch, etc.}
3. You will have until {this} Saturday night to complete the challenge.
4. Link your project on this week’s hostess’ challenge announcement. This week you will link your project on the TCP Tuesday post on Leigh’s blog.
5. TCP stamps are not required, but of course, highly encouraged. Unless it is a challenge calling for a specific stamp
6. There will be one winner each month. They will be deemed that month’s Swankiest Stamper and get $25 in Cat’s Cash {money to spend on the TCP site!}.
7. When uploading to SCS, please use the keyword TCPTUES68 for this challenge.
8. Alma will post the entries from the week the following Monday on her blog.
9. The newly crowned Swanky Stamper will be announced on the first of the month and have his/her winning entry posted on The Cat’s Pajamas website where he/she will reign for the entire month.
