Hop, Hop, Hop…

Welcome to your next stop along the Your Next Stamp {YNS} blog hop. Since this is a hop…

You should have started HERE at Cabio’s blog and arrived on my blog via Maylee’s blog HERE. When you leave you’ll be hoppin’ along to Maureen’s blog HERE {I’ll link it down at the bottom, too}.

For this hop, you have a chance to win $50 in YNS Stamps by just leaving a comment at each stop along the hop by Sunday, June 13th at midnight EST. Good Luck!!

Here’s my Father’s Day card using Ethan out on the Pond {part of the Fhiona line that I love so much}.

It’s hard to tell from the pic, but the blue paper is actually polka dotted. I love polka dots, but they aren’t exactly masculine, but I think this paper does the trick, especially since the image is a little cute-sy. I chose red and orange cardstock to compliment the way that I colored the image and I used black cardstock to make it all “POP.”

I think I will be stashing this layout for future use, too!!

Ok, I’ll stop my yapping and let you get hopping along to Maureen’s blog. Happy hopping!!

TCP Tuesday Blog Hop…

Posted by Jen | The Cat's Pajamas, blog hopping, cards, challenges | Monday, April 12, 2010

Welcome to the 3rd stop along the latest and greatest TCP Blog Hop. Since it’s a hop, let me tell you that you should have started at Toni’s blog and then you should have come here from my sweet friend, Ana’s, blog.

Toni brings us this fun inspiration pic…

I gotta admit that when I first saw this, I said “Whoa!” Not like Joey, but rather “Oh my, what am I going to do with this?” Then I got to looking at it and thinking more about it and realized that there is a lot to be inspired by with this picture…bright colors, white background, circles and/or even fabric. I went ahead and took the bright colors and circles as pieces of inspiration and came up with this…

TCP Tuesday 100 Hop…

tcptues100big
I swear just yesterday the Cat Pack was chatting about starting TCP Tuesday and now here we are at TCP Tuesday 100. In true TCP style, it has to be BIG and of course there has to be a chance to win BIG! So here we go…

Ok, it’s a hop so here are the hop deets:

Both the start and where you should have come from to get here are on LEIGH’s blog.
After you leave here, you will hop on over to JOANNE’s blog.

I said it was BIG, so let’s go over those deets, too:

1. Instead of 1 TCP Tuesday challenge there are four: Sketch, Color, Inspiration and Supply.
2. You will find these challenges along the way on Leigh, Joanne, Toni and Amy’s blogs.
3. The winner will be chosen by the number of entries they have. The more entries the more of a chance they have. In the case of a tie, the winner will be picked at random.
4. The contest will last a week. All entries must be uploaded to the guestbook on Alma’s/TCP blog. The winner of the contest should have all their designs uploaded no later than Noon. PST. Monday March 15. The winner will be announced on Tuesday at Noon PST on March 16.
5. The winner will win a prize pack of hottest Cat Pack Picks~ 7 of the Cat Packs picks. That is 7 of the Cat Pack’s swanky sets and some of Alma’s personal favorite licks. (Buttons, glitter, you know goodies).

One of my favorite sets is the Coolvetica Alphabet. Sweet and simple without being blah is the best way that I can describe it. Let me know what you think…

My original plan was to make a card {of course!} to go along with Leigh’s sketch, but then I took this picture of Ellie and got inspired to make a 6 x 6 scrap page. Why 6 x 6? Well, I don’t scrap and I find all the bigger sizes of scrapping a little tedious and a wee bit intimidating. I immediately thought of adding a little title using this alpha and now I have a wee page that I can display in my room. LOVE it!

The picture was taken at Twisted Root Burger Company in Roanoke. I’ve been wanting to go since we saw it featured on the Food Network. It was YUM-O. Ellie and Tony shared a chocolate shake for dessert {ahem, appetizer} and I had a Thin Mint shake…de-lish! As for my burger, I had a burger with swiss and beer marinated carmelized onions with sweet potato chips on the side. Needless to say, we will be back!

Here’s the sketch for the challenge that I used…

Ok, hop hop hop on over Joanne’s blog for your next challenge :)

Skipping Stones Design Blog Hop{e} For Haiti…

Posted by Jen | Skipping Stones Design, blog hopping, cards | Tuesday, February 16, 2010

–>If you are looking for info about SFYTT and the HUGE giveaway, scroll down and click on Saturday’s post<-- Thank you to Skipping Stones Design for being one of our sponsors.

Hello all! I’m back at it again… on board with yet another blog hop. Still looking for the blog hop support group…LOL! The best part about this one is that it’s for a great cause…to raise money for those devastated by the earthquake in Haiti.

Since it’s a hop, you might want to know…
If you just happened to pop over here and want to start at the beginning, head on over to the Skipping Stones Design blog HERE. You should come from Mary’s blog HERE and when you are all done, be sure to head on over to Kandi’s blog HERE {I’ll have a link at the end of the post, too}.

A note from Skipping Stones Design
As a company, we wanted to do something to give back to the people who have been so devastated by the Haitian Earthquake. So we thought what better way than to invite some of our favorite stampers to join us in this cause. Each card you see on the blog hop today will be auctioned on E-bay with all proceeds going to the Red Cross in support of the Haitian Relief Effort (please check the Skipping Stones Design Website for the link to the auction). 100% of the proceeds of the Ebay auction and $2.00 from every stamp set purchased from February 16 - 22 will be donated to the Red Cross. We know that we can make a difference.

Here’s my {masculine} card that I created with the Tough Guy set for the hop and auction…

How about a prize? In addition to the fabulous eye candy, we have decided to hide a prize somewhere along the hop! There will be a few pre-release sets up for grabs hidden along the blog hop. The fun part is…we’re not telling you who it is! So as you hop, make sure you leave comments on every post so you have a chance to win!!

Now, off ya go to Kandi’s blog HERE.
