Love new stamp and dies? Well, you are in for a real treat with this month’s release from Lil’ Inker Designs! Seriously, people…it. is. awesome.

My new favorite die in my LID collection is INSTANT CAMERA…and it has the stitched edges that LID is so well know for. All I can say is swoon! Here’s a little something that I did with it…

Of course, the obvious thing to do with it is to use it with a picture which make it great from scrapping and gift giving, too. I, however, did not want to use a pic, so I went the scrappy route and added another layer of paper that I embossed with my new ZigZag embossing folders {found HERE at i{heart}papers}. I’ll probably use more paper than pics with this die, but it’s nice to know that it’s multi-functional!

Like many of my projects, I don’t just use one die. I combine lots of different dies to create the the look I want. For this card, I didn’t stop at the new Instant Camera die, I also added elements using…

- Gift Bow Topper {new!}… tied off with twine and a jingle bell
- Of the Heart… with some red rhinestone bling
- Holly Jolly… die cut from green felt
- Flags & Tags… a definite “go to” set of mine

The sentiment comes from the new Instant Camera Christmas and is just one of the many sentiments {and numbers} included in the set. Truth be told, I could go on and on about this new release, but I think that it speaks for itself and I’m going to go ahead and send you on your way to the next stop on the hop…THE LIL’ INKER DESIGNS STORE. My card for the hop features the new set, CHRISTMAS CHEER…

I stamped the trees on pattern paper {Carta Bella} and then created snow drifts using Diamond Stickles and chunky glitter. TIP: when applying glitter to a project, use glitter glue {like Stickles} for a little extra sparkle…

The other pattern paper is from Simple Stories: Handmade Holiday line and I love how it complements the whimsy of the polka dot tree. I thought of adding bling to the trees, but I thought that it would be a little too much. I guess more is not always more, and plus, I just did that last week. I sometimes tend to get hung up on doing one creative thing like that. The snow drifts added enough bling to dress up the card along with the other details {scalloped edge, twine and paper piercing}.

Yep, it’s another day of brand new stamps here! There’s nothing like fresh stamps getting inky for the first time! While I still have Halloween decorations up in the house {don’t judge me, they’re coming down today}, I am getting a little more in the spirit of the upcoming holidays. The trees will remain up in the attic for a few more week, but there’s no stopping my Christmas craftiness!

I wouldn’t exactly describe my stamping style as “country,” but this new set, Country Christmas, has so many fab elements that it is easy to make different styles of cards. Here’s what I came up with…

The “ice” was created by punching an oval and then covering it with Diamond Stickles {the same “technique” I used on the snow on yesterday’s card}…

I can’t believe that the holidays are just around the corner! I can’t say that I hear the sleigh bells ringing quite yet, but I’m starting to get into the mood and it’s a little easier to do when there are super cute Verve images to work with! Have you seen the new Verve release? Let’s just say, it will make you excited for Christmas, too! I mixed and matched new and old for my card for the hop…

I reached for one of my oldies, but goodies for the polka dots on the Ribbon Banner die cut {Bountiful Backgrounds set}.

The sentiment is from the new Holiday Greetings set and the circle is mounted on a die cut of the Mini Classy Label. Detail shot…

The trees are from the Winter Fun die set and I love how they look on this card. I put a bit of tiny bling on the trees and they are layered atop a swooping layer of “snow” created with some Diamond Stickles. I wish it would have photgraphed a little better! I still am working on finding that sweet spot in our new house for taking pics.
