March Verve Diva Inspirations Hop…

Howdy, friends!
It’s time for the March Verve Diva Inspirations Hop. Be sure that you start over on Julee’s blog and that you came here from Betty’s blog so that you don’t miss a thing!

I made a CAS {clean and simple} card for this month’s hop, using a variety of new and older Verve product…

thanks

I used the small butterflies from the All Aflutter die set and cut them twice from papers from Pebbles Seen & Noted paper line. The flowers are from the new set, Surely Goodness, and are stamped in an understated gray. I didn’t want to use bold colors or patterns that would detract from the trio of butterflies, so I used the gray flowers to created a patterned card base. The sentiment, from the Making a Statement set, and is stamped in black beneath the main image panel. Even though I am not one for mass productions, I think it would be great to switch out the sentiment and create a set of cards.

There’s still a lot more to see on this hop, so I am going to send you on the way to {new Verve DT member!}, Jessica’s blog. Before you go, don’t forget to leave a comment here {and each stop along the way} for a chance to win a $30 gift certificate to the Verve store. Happy hopping and good luck!

TCP Tuesday…

Posted by Jen | The Cat's Pajamas, cards, challenges, just because | Thursday, February 28, 2013

Oh.my.goodness…is it Friday yet? Ever have those weeks that just seem like they are never ending? I’ve been so busy with so many things! I’m looking forward to a Friday moving night with the family!

I’m a couple days behind on posting this card for The Cat’s Pajamas‘ February TCP Tuesday challenge. I had a little Chinese fire-drill happening on my calendar and this card ended up on Thursday instead of it’s original “seat” on Tuesday…

This month’s TCP Tuesday is all about making the old new again. I don’t like referring to any of my current product as “old,” so I just reached for a few things that I haven’t worked with in a little while…ya know, those “un” or “underloved” sets and dies!

For this card I used…

-Circus Panels CutUps
-Heart Trio CutUps
-Flower Buttons CutUps
-Toppers Cutups
ALL TCP CutUps dies can be found HERE.

-Build a Bingo stamp set
-Kick Some Grass stamp set

Today’s the last day to play along! You’ll find all the details and upload information on the TCP BLOG. Happy stamping!!

Lil’ Inker New Release Hop…

Posted by Jen | CAS, Lil' Inker, cards | Tuesday, February 26, 2013

Have you been following along with the new release posts over on the Lil’ Inker blog the last couple of days? Lotsa cute stuff was released this week! The design team is celebrating today with a new release hop! Be sure you start over on Judith’s blog so you don’t miss a thing. If you’ve been hopping right along, then you came here from Mary’s blog.

I reached for several items from the new release to create this card…

hello

I’ve been loving all the black panels that have been trending lately and I knew that Circle & Diamond Stitched Pattern Die would be and awesome way to add a little detail and texture to such a large, dark pattern. I set off the black panel by adding fun, bright colored circles atop the white Connected Circles die cut. Of course, I just had to add a little bit of coordinating bling! The sentiment is from the set Darling Diamonds, which is the set complimenting the Circle & Diamond Stitch Pattern Die.

My favorite set from this release is GEOMETRIC FOUNDATIONS because of the ability to mix and match patterns. I put a couple of them together to create the circle panel on this card…

I added the green stars to bring together the stamped geometric green pattern and then added the bling for a finishing touch. I have to say that I {heart} PINK bling! I think that I have it in just about every brand and size available. Martha Stewart and Recollections are my faves, but I have room for everyone in my collection!

There’s lots more to see, so I am going to keep ya hop, hop, hopping along to GAYATRI’S BLOG. Happy hopping!

The Craft’s Meow New Release…

Posted by Jen | CAS, TCM-The Craft's Meow, cards, just because | Tuesday, February 19, 2013

Hello, friends and happy hump day…already! I love when the week starts off with a holiday because it seems like the rest of the week always zooms by. Of course, it also means that I am off on my days and wake up in a panic thinking it’s one day when it’s not. On Monday, Tony woke up, smacked me and said, “Wake up, it’s time to get the kids up……oh, yea…they can sleep in.” That was the end of sleeping in for me, though! Not that one ever sleeps in at our house because our kids are such early risers. While I don’t ever want them to grow up and be teenagers, I wouldn’t mind if they acquired some of those kind of sleeping “skills.”

Anywhoooo…

Tomorrow is the new release for THE CRAFT’S MEOW. FIVE new sets will be released and the set that I am previewing today, SOAR, is a freebie with a $50 purchase {gotta love a freebie!}…
