It’s a hop! Be sure you started on Amy’s blog and that you came here from Jen C.’s blog.

Happy Monday, friends! It always seems to be a bit of an oxymoron to put “Happy” and “Monday” side by side, don’t you think? This Monday is pretty happy, though! Today is the first day in a week’s worth of blog hops featuring new goodies from Lil’ Inker and and I have to say that I know that you are going to fall head over heels for this new stuff. Today’s new release product is my favorite…BOW DIES!! {<--said screaming!}

I know these graphics look identical, but the sizes are different and I wanted to be sure to include all that info…

I am constantly being inspired by things seen on Pinterest and I recently saw a few different posts about a box or bag of “sunshine.” This is my interpretation of the theme {just in time for Teacher Appreciation Week}…

I love these dies as the perfect addition to packaging. I recently got a few things from garnish and I can’t wait to embellish them with bows! Here’s a detail shot of both sizes put together for my project {smaller bow is embossed with Cuttlebug embossing folder}…

I layered the bow backs for more dimensional look. To do so, snip the smaller one {mine is embossed with a Cuttlebug embossing folder} in half and adhere as shown to the larger piece…

INSTRUCTIONS FOR CREATING BOX:
{my cello bag has a 4″ x 2.5″ base}

-Cut cardstock to 8″ x 6.5″
-Score 2″ in on all sides
-On short side, snip score line to intersecting score line
-Punch edges, if desired
-Trim corner flaps, if desired {this will cover any punched edges that don’t line up}
-Fold in box and adhere
-Embellish outside of box as desired
-Add adhesive to bottom inside of bag so that bag won’t come out and place bag inside

Detail shot…

I have one more thing to show you before I send you on your way. From time to time I get asked how I take my pictures. First things first on the answer…NATURAL LIGHT! I will use my flash when needed IN ADDITION to natural light. I try to “mute” the flash a little by folding up a couple of white paper towels and holding them in front of the flash. That seems to let the light through without being too overpowering. Here is a pic of where I normally take my pictures. I don’t always use the super high tech photo box…created by adhering 3 pieces of white cardstock together and adding pattern or colored paper as desired…

Now, it’s time for you to hop, hop, hop along to your final destination today…Laura’s blog. Happy hopping
