Verve Project Parade…

Posted by Jen | Holidays, Verve, projects | Monday, February 15, 2010

Usually I am the one that kicks off the Project Parade over on the Verve blog, but today I am actually the Diva that is wrapping it all up. It’s been a fabulous Project Parade with one breathtaking creation after another. I was so inspired by everyone’s contributions! I wish that Valentine’s Day wasn’t over so I had more time to make more pink and red sparkly projects! Oh well, on to St. Patty’s and Easter! :)

Here is my project that I did for the Parade. It’s a Stampendous Mini Pail that I picked up from Taylored Expressions. Of course, all of the stamps are from Verve Stamps. I used Heart’s Desire on this project…

Valentine’s Sketch For You To Try…

Posted by Jen | MFT, SFYTT 2010, cards, challenges, designer of the month | Saturday, February 13, 2010

Wow, did we get some snow here in North Texas this week! I shoveled snow for the first time in my life and made a snowman that was actually of substantial size…for North Texas, at least. Here’s a pic of our dogs, Cooper and Abby, playing in the snow…

Giving P.J. a Warm Welcome…

Posted by Jen | The Cat's Pajamas, cards | Thursday, February 11, 2010

Brrr…it’s cold and snowing here in North Texas today. This is the whitest winter we have had since we have lived here {about 6 years}. This is a nice snow that is slowly accumulating…a whole 3 inches, I think. It’s not the beating that you folks on the East coast are getting. Ellie is looking forward to getting home from school and playing with Daddy in the snow. I am sure that I will get good pics of that! This time I will try not to hit her in the face with a snowball {oops!}.

Well, if you haven’t seen yet, the TCP bear officially has a name…

pj_04

P.J. is such a fitting name for the The Cat’s Pajamas newest family member. Did you know that the cat is named Sprinkle and the dog is named Poochie? Now for those penguins…hmmm! Anyways, here are a couple more card using the newly released set, A Beary Good Year

A Beary Good Year From TCP…

—-> If you are looking for the SFYTT Prize Package post, please click HERE <----

It's TCP Tuesday and it’s a blog hop! There’s a lot going on with this post, so let’s get started!

First, since it is TCP Tuesday there is a challenge for you. Amy Rohl is this week’s Hipster Hostess with the Mostess and she challenging you to paper piece on your project. You can get all of the challenge details HERE on her blog. She is also the start of the blog hop, so be sure to start there. You should have come here from Jenny’s blog and when you leave here, you will hop on over to Tracy’s blog {I’ll link her at the bottom of the post, too}

This is my take on the challenge. I paper pieced “Who’s That Bear” {more on that in a sec} and made him into a Valentine Cupid…

This is the bear from the new set, A BEARY GOOD YEAR, which is available on February 9th from TCP. I love the versatility of the set and all the creative projects that you can do with it. It’s one of those “must haves” because you can use it every month. It features the bear whose name will be revealed tomorrow. The person that names the bear will win a whole lotta free stamps from TCP…a year’s worth to be exact! Are you the lucky winner? Be sure to check out Alma’s blog for the name reveal and winner announcement!

Don’t forget to go onto Tracy’s blog to keep along the hop.

Here’s another Valentine’s card using “that bear” from A BEARY GOOD YEAR…

There’s a lot more options than just Valentine’s Day with this little guy, but I thought that I would show both of them in the same post. Like the chunky stripe ribbon? You can get it HERE from TCP. Ok, I’m signing off now so I can eat a little more dinner and then head of to bed before I am summoned for a middle of the night feeding.

This month’s Designer of the Month is the super talented MONA PENDLETON
mona-headshot-jugs
A little bit about Mona, in her own words…
I have a passion for papercrafting and a strong desire for inspiring others. I started paper-crafting approximately 7 years ago when I began scrapbooking my children’s photos and creating any occasion greeting cards & haven’t stopped since. I have developed a sort of shabby chic, vintage style.

Her gorgeous take on the sketch…
