Believe Blog Hop Sketch For You To Try…

Posted by Jen | Verve, blog hopping, cards, challenges, designer of the month | Saturday, October 24, 2009

Welcome to my post along the Verve Stamps Believe Blog Hop. If you happened here by chance, be sure to start at Julee’s blog. Hopefully you hopped along here from my sweet friend, Susan’s, blog. And, when you are done here, you will hop hop hop on over to the super talented Betty, one of the Verve Stamps’ Guest Designers this month. Don’t worry, I will link her on the bottom of this post, too. I just end up having a lot of links and I don’t want hers to get lost in the shuffle.

Well, as you know it’s Saturday, so that means that I have a SKETCH FOR YOU TO TRY. I think that you all will like this one and do A-MAAAA-ZING creations with it…

sfytt102409-1

This is my creation for both the hop and the sketch…

believehop_sfytt1024

This card uses the new set, Believe {hence the “Believe” blog hop}. For each of these sets sold, Verve will donate $10 to Susan G. Komen to help find a cure. This is a subject close to my heart. As many of you know, my mom was diagnosed with breast cancer 2 years ago. A year ago she completed her chemo and has been cancer free since then. I know that other women…moms, sisters, friends…are not as fortunate and have lost their courageous battles. While this is a wonderful set to use to give to people fighting the fight, it is also a great set to use when you are trying to sell items to make money for walks and other fundraisers. I’d like to think that it can keep on giving.

In addition to this set, several other Verve sets were released last night. You can see them HERE.

Designer of the Month, Lorelie Kim, created this darling card using the SKETCH FOR YOU TO TRY…
lk1024

Ok, so here come all those links that I mentioned before…

If you are hopping along on the Verve Stamps Believe Blog Hop, hop on over to BETTY and see what beautiful creation she has to share with you. Oh, by the way…
There is a special gift hidden along our hop for one lucky commenter, so if you see something you really love, give a little shout out and you just might win a $30 gift certificate to Verve!

This is such a pretty card. I love that saying. It’s so moving. I was thinking this set would be great to use for selling items too! I’m thinking of making things and offering them to the library to sell of the Relay for Life next year. They always have these hideous, cheap ribbons. I think bookmarks with that saying would sell so much better:)
