YNS Fun Friday | Fun With Dies…
TGIF Friends! Is everyone ready for a good weekend? I am! Lots of Easter Egg Hunts going on this weekend! Are you going to one?
We are definitely in the mood for spring and Easter around here. I made some cute Easter projects that I will share next week and I think the flowers that I made on the card below might have to find their way onto a few more projects, too!
I used the WINGS from the Dress Up Fhiona Die Set from YOUR NEXT STAMP to create this flower on the card…
To create this flower you will:
12-14 die cut wings {cardstock or felt work great!}
1 one inch cardstock circle
Adhesive {hot glue is what I used}
Your choice of flower center {Button and twine matted with a cardstock circle is what I used}
Directions:
1. Cut the die cut wings in half
2. Adhere 6-7 of the halves around the edge one side of the 1″ circle
3. Adhere 4-7 of the halves around the center of the other side of the circle
NOTE: Adhering part of the around the edge and part of them around the center creates more of a layered look.
4. Create and adhere your flower center
5. Attach to card. OR, put a pin-back on it and use it as a fun accessory!
Detail shots…
I “fluffed up” my petal by curling/bending each of the petals until I got the look that I wanted. I always get asked, so I can’t forget to mention the embossing folder…it’s a Christmas set from Sizzix! My fave…at the moment!
Have fun with this creating your own flowers and have a great weekend! I’ll be back tomorrow with one more SFYTT post for March…don’t miss it!

stunning, great way to make a flower thanks for sharing!
This is beautiful Jen! TFS! I just read your rainbow post below and I can’t wait for you to shout out your exciting news!
Happy egg hunting!
Karen
Cute card! Love your “wings” flower!
Brilliant idea to use wings to create the flower. TFS!
What is the name of this embossing folder? I’ve seen you use it a lot and I love it. I searched the Sizzix site for it, but can’t find it.
