Congratulations To…
#4 Jamie S. as the winner of the Sunflower Rosette! Congrats Jamie
I just love Alma, the owner of The Cat’s Pajamas. The other day she tells us {the design team} that she is bored so she wants to give away some of the CutUps dies that we all love.
So wanna win the Sunflower Rosette die that I used on THIS frame the other day? Of course you do! All you have to do is leave me a comment telling me your favorite Halloween costume from your childhood or Halloween memory. Mine was the plastic Care Bears costume that I had when I was about 5. I know you know what I am talking about…all plastic from head to toe {because it wasn’t hot enough in Arizona!} with a plastic mask that had a string that never kept the mask in place. My best friend was Wonder Woman. I remember ringing a doorbell and “Dracula” answering the door and we took off running to our Daddys’ arms!
You have until Sunday at 11:59pm CST to leave a comment. I will announce a winner Monday. GOOD LUCK!!
TGIF! I am glad that the weekend is just around the corner! Last Friday the kids and I were involved in a car accident on the way home from Ellie’s school. Needless to say, it was so scary to be in an accident with the kids. Everyone is ok {very thankfully!}, and the Swagger Wagon will hopefully be parked back in our garage in a couple of weeks. That’s just one of a few things that has made me think about being thankful for all my family and friends.
A few week’s ago, I learned that fellow stamper, AJ Otto had been diagnosed with breast cancer. I knew that I wanted to make a card for her to {hopefully} brighten her day. I can’t tell you how hard it was to make this card. I wanted it to be perfect. I cut and placed, and cut and glued and twisted and tweaked. Finally, I was happy with this…
I’ve kinda been getting into using more than one sentiment on a card front lately. Of course, they can’t just be any two sentiments. I thought that these worked well together. The “beautiful you” sentiment is from the set, Celebrating You from Verve Stamps. The larger sentiment seemed so fitting and I was happy to have these words to add to this card. It comes from the Verve set, On My Mind. Of course, I had to add a little more Verve for all the finishing details. The polka dotted polka dots {<--how perfect for me is that!?!} come from the older and much loved set, Petals & Stems. Dies…yes, I certainly had to break out the Verve dies!! The flowers are cut from felt with the Loopy Blooms die set and the pink cardstock panel is cut with the Curvy Bookplate die. That’s a whole lotta Verve-y goodness happening!
I hope everyone has a great weekend! Stay safe and hug the ones that you love!
Um, so have I mentioned that I am little excited for fall? Ok, don’t answer that! Just be warned that from here through Halloween {or maybe Thanksgiving} there will be a lot of fall y’all!
When I got an email asking me to a guest designer for Hambo Stamps, I jumped all over the chance to use the cute CROWS image, along withe fun “Just Be-Caws” for sentiment this card…

I had fun mixing and matching papers this card. Rarely do I try to stick with one paper pad/collection. I try to bring together different colors and patterns in a way that might not be obvious, but is still appealing to the eye {at least to me!}.
Thank you to the Hambo team for letting me play along this month! Happy stamping!!
Is Halloween here yet? Oh my goodness…I am ready, already! Except for the fact that I haven’t even started putting Ellie’s costume together. She has decided that she wants to be Mary Poppins! I have a feeling that I am going to be do some thrift store shopping and piecing together a little of this and a little of that to make it all come together. One of the reasons that I am so excited about Halloween is all the Halloween stuff that is in the stores…and on my desk. Karen of Your Next Stamp asked if I would like to hop along in the YNS Too Cute To Spook Hop with some Halloween stamps. Um, yes please!!
So, before I get to the crafty goodness, let me just make sure that you are on the right path so you don’t miss anything along the way. This hop starts HERE on Kerri’s blog and you should have hopped along HERE from Jenny’s blog.
How’s this for a SPOOKTACULAR Halloween image!?!…

I colored lil’ miss witchy’s face just a little bit too bright green, but then I used my Copic T1 marker to take it down a notch. I probably could have gone over once more with the T1, but I like the way it turned out.
Now, this YNS image isn’t necessarily Halloween-y, but Super Ellie sure is CU-UUTE!…

In addition to these fun stamps being available in the YNS store, some of the new release is up for grabs as a part of a great prize package…
All you gotta do is add your name just once along the hop {we all have the SAME linky system}. If you haven’t added your name to the link system already, do that now and then hop along to Wendy’s blog for some more great YNS fun!
