This, That and a Contest {Long Post}…

Happy Tuesday! I have been stamping…YAY! Of course, it’s in between Nic being a super fussy baby. Ellie was way easier and did not pitch the fits that this little guy is capable of. Needless to say, there has been a little bit of an adjustment period around here. Stamping and crafting has been my relaxation outlet, a much needed one at times. I am so thankful for the friends and family that have helped us out, too! You never realize the power of a good friend, until you need them! I’ll have more Nic pics soon {I know some family members are about to explode waiting for new ones}.

Real quick {funny} story…
Today was the first day I was on my own getting Ellie to school with Nic in tow. I know that this will be easy as pie within a few weeks, but being that it was the first time today, it was a little hectic. Everything was going smoothly…as smoothly as it can going trying to get a 3.5 year old and newborn out the door. Dressed…check. Asthma treatment…check. Teeth brushed…check. Baby nursed…check. So then we get in the car and Ellie asks, “Am I going to have breakfast?” Ooops…at least I only forgot to feed one of them! LOL! I went to my little coffee shop and got her a bagel and then when we got to school she runs up to her teacher and says, “I have to eat this bagel now because Mommy forgot to feed me.” There goes my Mother of the Year prize!

Ok, so it’s Tuesday which means that it’s also TCP Tuesday. Leigh created a super fabby sketch for us to use…

I did mention a contest, too, didn’t I? Here you have a chance to win A LOT of stamps. What do I mean by a lot? How about a year’s worth of release from The Cat’s Pajamas!?!? All you have to do is NAME THAT BEAR! What the heck does that mean? Well, there is the dog, Poochie and the kitty, Sprinkle, but the bear still needs a name. That’s where you come in. If you can NAME THAT BEAR, then you win a year’s worth of stamps. All you have to do is email your suggestion to contest@thecatspajamasrs.com

Here’s a sneak peek at the new set that is coming out on February 9th, A Beary Good Year…

I used the new Sweet Thing Glitzy Glitter to dress up the bear’s hat. I have found that using Martha Stewart’s Glitter Glue is the best for grabbing this heavier glitter and keeping it put.

In addition to the name that bear contest, we hope you play along with the sketch. Just upload it to the Slide show on the TCP blog HERE and you could win Cat Cash {hey, that’s money to spend on TCP stamps}.

Love the sentiments on the heart, neat sketch!
The bear is just too cute, especially with all the dimension!
That story was too cute, at least she mentioned it to you before getting to school and not after she was there and tell the teacher my mommy didn’t feed me at all :)
When my daughter was going to pre-school at 3, she decided it would be a good idea to cut off the braid that had put down the side of her head, needless to say she went to school with a stub of hair coming out of her pony tail holder and after class she had a hair appointment and they had to cut her hair real short to make it look right, these things happen to us all, like you said in a few weeks you will feel like a pro, well at least have a schedule down :)

I love today’s cards but more importantly, I just have to tell you that your post brought back memories with a rush. That first day with 2 kids in your care…all by yourself!…is a doozie. I promise it gets easier though. It happens even faster than the adjustment to the first one. All of a sudden, you realize that you are super mom and everyone in your care, even you, has what they need for the day and you are even having fun doing it. I mean heck, my kids are 11 and 9 and mine both ate before school every day this week and I even got a shower before noon twice this week already. I have stamped everyday though. Important stuff! Super mom, right? I’ll be thinkin of ya!

These are adorable cards! Love that little bear! And that was a wonderful story…..don’t worry, we’ve all been there, and you got her a bagel, it was all good–you are still in the running for mother of the year!

I am still laughing! With 5 kids myself, no doubt I forgot a few over the years! They have their own now…..
    Ain’t motherhood GRAND!

Love love the cards. How do you do the twine with the bow loops behind the button? Do you just tie it on backwards with a bow and turn it over. Love the look - I want to try it!

Oh jen…what a funny story! I am totally with you. I have left the house countless times without the diaper bag. I haven’t had to carry one in years, so to remember that, plus the baby, plus everything else was impossible, apparantely. I finally decided to just leave the darn thing in the car at all times so that I will have it with me. I was super embarrassed at the Pediatrician’s office when I had to borrow, not one, but two diapers and wipes. Ughh! You will have to write that one down in Ellie’s scrapbook! Take care! Oh…by the way…your cards are amazing as always!
