Slackin’ Sketch For You To Try…
Well, maybe slackin’ isn’t the best word for it, but I am warning you now that as of posting this, I don’t have my card done. It’s not without good reason, though. I went back to my OB on Thursday and the baby is still breech…much to my dismay! I go back next week to check my “candidacy” for getting the baby flipped, which I may or may not choose to do. Other than that, the baby looks good…and big. On top of this not-as-I-planned news, I ended up revisiting my dinner from Thursday night early on Friday morning. I felt like someone had just beat me with a stick all day yesterday…ugh!! So, needless to say, stamping/crafting took a little bit of a back seat and my card did not get done.
However, I still have a sketch and Kim’s sample to show. Hopefully, I will get my card done in the next day or so and post it…

Kim created this absolute beauty of a card using this sketch…

Sorry to hear baby Del Muro is breech. My son was Frank breech (butt down, jackknifed) and 9lbs 3.5 oz when he was delivered via c-section. Specialist said at that size it isn’t worth turning him because 1) not much room to do it based on his size 2) chances are he would flip back anyway as he had been in that position for so long it was his “comfortable position” and would want to go back to it 3) The OB told me he had a huge head after they had delivered him and said ” be glad you didn’t have to push that one out LOL!” Hope things work out of you. If worse comes to worse, a C-section isn’t all that bad — it’s just the post op that is a hassle for the first few weeks. Keep us posted on what you find out.

I hope you are feeling better now…just a warning…when I was 37 weeks pregnant with my daughter and spent an unfortunate night “revisiting my dinner” as you put in (haha), it sent me into labor!!!!
Hope you are prepared!!

Great Sketch Jen!! Sorry the baby is breech, my son was breech and they tried turning him. They got him turned half way and then he realized what he they here doing and he would not let them turn him any more. They were able to turn him back to breech and tried a few more times but he would push against them. I ended up having him c-section and it was a good thing since he ended up being 9 lbs 3 oz. The turning was not bad just uncomfortable, they did tell me after I got there that if they had got him turned they would go ahead and break my water so that he wouldn’t have a chance to turn back so be prepared. Good Luck!!

My daughter was breech and was delivered c-section. My water broke before my scheduled day, so I got to ‘feel labor’ too. I have to tell you- skip that!!!
Seriously though, you have to recover in one way or another- and I’d rather recover there- then your hubby gets to do the vacuuming for awhile! If I was going to do it again I wouldn’t think twice! Good luck!!!
(great sketch too!)

Jen, First I must say I love your cards, what a great artist. I am new to blogging and somewhat new to card making. Have always been into scrapbooking but let me tell you I am HOOKED!
Sooo I need help. I would like to enter the challenge. Does the card have to be the exact size you show in the sketch? If it does I never see a size listed.
Thanks for anyone that can help me out and please anyone come by my blog for a visit anytime.

33 years ago I went to the ob and all was OK. Went home and before the next visit dd decided to flip around and get feet first into position. We scheduled a c-section, but I went into labor with my water breaking before that date came along. When I got to the hospital the doctor examined me and said the head is down and in position, no c-section. I was so excited my bp ran sky high and the nurse was in a panic. Told her that I would calm down in a minute, which i did and my dtr made her entrance a couple of hours later.
she was baby girl number three and another story to tell when every one is talking ob experiences. Jen, you will be in my prayers tonight as I tell Jesus and Mary how thankful I am for all they did for me today, and how Jen needs a prayer for baby M to be born perfect and healthy–flip or no flip! OR would that be a somersault?

Love your sketches…can’t wait to play along. Just wanted to share some Breech stories…my first DD was Frank breech and we tried having her turned..wouldn’t budge. The C-section wasn’t hte end of the world and I delivered my second naturally, so don’t worry about that. Some of the things we tried to get the baby to turn was 1)lean your ironing board on the couch cushions where you sit, so that it is at a slant, and then straddle it and lay back with your head down…supposed to make the baby think it’s the wrong way and so it flips…this one just made me uncomfortable. 2) play music to the baby, but put the headphones at the bottom of your bump…supposed to make the baby want to move itself to hear the music better, which would be head down! 3) Remember the cat stretch from excercise class in school? Get down on your hands and knees and then relax…wait a minute or two and then arch your back/curl your back…wait a minute and relax. Repeat for a few minutes. Supposed to give the baby room to move. I tried all these…no luck.
I did have a friend who had a breech baby a well, and right after they scheduled the c-section she also had a visit from the previous nights dinner…went for her scheduled appt with the midwife the next day and the baby was head down. The midwife said that her being sick was probably from the big baby pushing and jostling her insides while he turned himself around.
Lastly, I’d just like to add…they say that baby’s birth reflects their personality…I can attest, my breech baby is a stubborn, do it my way kind of kid. My natural baby who took a little help and then leapt into the world quickly is a watcher…but once she knows what’s going on she’s in there! Good luck to you no matter what happens.
