Have A Cool Yule…
Jul 29th, 2008 by Jen
I’m writing this as Ellie is watching Diego’s Dinosaur Adventure. She is OBSESSED with dinosaurs lately. She has some little dinosaur plastic toys and a couple of books (which we read 15 times a day). I think it’s funny how a 2 year old can be so fascinated with dinosaurs. I can’t imagine what 2nd grade will be like (when she will “officially” learn about them). We have already taken her to a dinosaur exhibit where she pointed out the T-Rex…”the meeeean one!” I’m on the lookout for a cute stuffed pink dino for her. Let me if you see any! ![]()
Well, it’s Tuesday and that means another installment of TCP Tuesday…YAY! The theme for today’s challenge is CHRISTMAS IN JULY…using any TCP Christmas/Winter images. I absolutely LOOOOVE the images from last winter’s release, so I quickly got out my clearly swanky Polar Holiday set and got to stampin’. Here’s what I came up with…

Don’t you love this color combo? It’s SU! Real Red, Old Olive and Baja Breeze. The white is actually Papertrey Ink’s Vintage Cream. I stamped the image with Brilliance Graphite Black and colored the images with Copics. The “ice” was highlighted with Niji Pearlescent Watercolors. The Baja Breeze layer is embossed with the snowflake Cuttlebug folder and the Old Olive layer is clear embossed using the Large Circle Snowflake. I love the punched snowflakes, too. This is a punch that I picked up from Hobby Lobby last year. I embellished the centers with some red Swarovski crystals.
Wanna play with us? Here’s some details that you should know…

Very cute!
Hi… try Target for the dino. They have the Land Before Time characters.
I am pretty sure there is a pink one.
We have the DVD’s… love them!
Cute card!! Love the colors and the layout!
Hey Jen, I don’t know about pink dinos, but our town is making a name for itself on the dinos found around here. If you email me your mailing addy, maybe I’ll stick some dino things in the mail for Ellie.
I love the bright colors here on this card too! I am going to be more ready for Christmas than any other holiday this year! LOL…
Hi Jen - this card is great! I will definitely keep my eyes peeled for a pink dino
Has Ellie ever watched the Land Before Time series or movies? My son loves them. I recorded a bunch from Cartoon Network for him and he watches them all the time. I got all of the stuffed animals for him at Target and he sleeps with them everynight. I am not sure about a pink one but there is a baby T-rex (a friendly one) who is purple. His name is Chomper and one of my son’s favorites.
Anywho… Love the card, those punched snowflakes are a perfect addition. -Molly B
Love the card and I love visiting your blog! I have a two yr old also and he has a pink dino (long story) but it is absolutely adorable and it is a Beanie Baby from Ty - It’s a baby version so it’s extra soft and cuddly and safe for kids under three. My older kids also liked the Land Before Time series but my 2 yr old is maybe just a little young for it.
So super cute Jen!!!
I love your color combo, Jen! Cute card!
Oh you are right. I love this color combo. And how you made the “ice” sparkle looks really neat. Just makes me ready for Christmas!
