A Dirty Challenge and Celebrate MFT…

Posted by Jen | MFT, cards, challenges | Thursday, December 20, 2007

Each month a challenge is issued by Jami to past and present Dirty Girls. This month’s challenge was to use penguins as our main image, to use “ice” in the form of glitter, crystals, etc. and we could not use ANY blue. Yikes!! A winter card with no blue??
In addition to the 20th being the day to upload this challenge it is also “Celebrate MFT,” which is a little party to upload MFT images, especially the ones that you have just received. Well, I decided to use Winter Blast from MFT, which is not a new set, but a cute set just the same. It also fit in perfectly with the Dirty Challenge. I was able to make two cards for these occasions, both fitting into both categories. The top one utilizes the new digi paper from MFT. This card (obviously) took less time than the second one. I was in a hurry to get one done. Fortunately, I was able to stamp for a little while today and took some time to make the pink one below. I LOVE using pink for winter/holiday stuff!! The paper on this one is from a pack that I picked up at Target not too long ago.
You can see the Dirty Challenge creations HERE and you can see the Celebrate MFT creations HERE.
I’ll be back on Saturday with a SKETCH FOR YOU TO TRY!

Jen, These cards are so Awesome! I don’t think I could have made a card without any Blue, That’s one of my favorite color’s.

I have alway admired your creative artwork. I have seen in some of the Stamping magazines. You are very talented.

I have also added you to my blog as one of my favorite place to visit.

Merry Christmas to you and your family!!

Jen, Your cards are soooo cute! I love pink! I made some pink ones for Christmas as well. I have a question: I like the curvy cut on the pink card and I have been looking for a cutter that will cut in that shape but I haven’t been able to find one…what cutter did you used?? Thank you for sharing! Merry Christmas!
