Fun Friday | Time to Sparkle…
TGIF, friends! It’s time for another Fun Friday with Your Next Stamp and today I am going to touch on the subject of working with glitter/making your projects sparkle. I have to admit that there are lots of times I have passed up working with loose glitter, but there are other ways to give a project that sparkly look…YAY!
Before I get to the glitter jibber jabber, let me share my card for today…
Detail shots…
Don’t like loose glitter like me? Well, then you probably know that Stickles, the grown-up version of glitter glue, are a little piece of non-messy heaven on earth. I used Stickles on the wings of my YNS Fairy Fhiona, but I also did something else to give it a little more sparkle. Before adding the Stickles I used a little “trick” that I learned a loooong while ago from fellow stamper, Jody Morrow. I love this trick…using a Sakura Stardust pen, color in just a little bit of the area that you want to sparkle. When I say a “little bit,” I mean that I usually just go around the edges of the area. Remember, you can always add more. Then, using an aqua painter filled with rubbing alcohol {or a paint brush dipped in rubbing alcohol}, spread the glitter around. Like I said, you can add more if needed. While the alcohol won’t hurt the paper, be conservative with the amount that you use or you will end up with a little mess on your paper.
Using this lil’ trick will give your projects that added glimmer that you’ve been wanting without the mess of loose glitter everywhere. Add Stickles {I like Diamond} for some more bling. Want even more bling?…add rhinestones, too, to compliment the image.
In addition to Fairy Fhiona, I also used the YNS Balloon Trio and Puffy Cloud die sets.

Very CUTE image, nice coloring and I LOVE the dimension! Great card!
Loving the sparkle. Great colouring too…really have to expand my copic collection.
