CAS Congratulations…

I’m getting more and more into Clean & Simple {CAS} card making. Some might think that it’s more time efficient or that it’s easier, but it’s neither of those for me. I know how to layer and build a card, so leaving all those layers and details off isn’t second nature to me. In fact, I envy those that can do it so easily. However, I am learning and getting a better feel for it and am loving all the white space on the CAS cards that I make.

This is a card that I sent to Tony’s cousin for her graduation…

This card uses the Rainbows and Clouds die and stamp set from Lil’ Inker Designs. I love all the options with the dies and the sentiments. I have yet to use the rainbows {gasp!!}, but have a few non-traditional ideas up my sleeve…think pink {and lots of it!}. The rainbows are also going to come in quite handy in a couple weeks for St. Patty’s Day…don’t ya think!?!

Well, I’m off to enjoy my weekend. Translation: clean the house before my Favorite Things Party tomorrow. No, not the stamp company…think Oprah style {minus the European vacation give away!}.

    Beautiful CAS card. I too am trying to do more clean and simple cards but they really are not that easy.

    I really really REALLY love your site! I am definitely going to make the Neapolitan cupcakes! My husband LOVES Neapolitan ice cream, so this is PERFECT!! I added your button to my blog. I will be back to see what else you do from time to time!!

    Wow, its amazing how much just texture can give to an otherwise colourless shape (dashes around clouds) love the brightness of the buttons.

    I’m totally in your corner with the CAS words - I always feel as if I have to fill that lovely white. But you’ve shown that one can “push their envelope” and come out a winner with that beautiful creation!
