Today Is A Good Day…
Make that a GREAT day!!
First, and most importantly {to me}, today is Tony and my four year anniversary. Four years ago today we stood under the blazing sun of Southern California {so much for sunny and 77!!} overlooking a golf course and said “I do.” I swear it seems like yesterday! I can’t remember if I have told the story of how we met, so I will go ahead and tell it again…
In February of 2002, I found myself back at my parents house. I knew that I wanted and needed a major change in my life. I made the decision to move out of state. I narrowed it down to 2 places…Austin, TX where I would have family and a job, or San Diego, CA where I would be starting from scratch. I figured I ought to just take the plunge and start fresh. Then I started apartment shopping. It become very clear, very quickly that I would not be living the same kind of lifestyle I was used to unless I was sharing some living space. One day I got an email from someone that said that they had a 2 bedroom, 2 bath condo in downtown San Diego overlooking Balboa Park. Guess who sent me that email??? TONY!!! Guess I should have read the fine print on that lease agreement…just kidding!! Even before we moved in together that June, we knew that there was something special between us and that something special was made permanent 4 years ago today. I love you, Tony!!
Here is one of the pics that we took at the beach after the wedding…

Today is also a good day, because I get to show you some of the new stuff that My Favorite Things is coming out with. From today through the first, I will be showing you projects made with the FIVE new sets that Kim is releasing. I’ll be giving away one of the sets on the 1st, too!!
The set that I am showing today is HOW SWEET IT IS. This set is so sweet! I just adore the ice cream sundae…YUM-O!! I don’t think that the camera captured everything on this card. The glass is covered in Twinkling H2Os to make it really look like glass. Then, I covered the chocolate syrup with a clear glaze pen and topped it off with the cherry covered in Stickles. I really like the versatility of the images that come in this set. I tried to get a different “feel” on each of the cards. I’ll let you be the judge…
