7 Things About Me…
Apr 29th, 2007 by Jen
I was tagged to tell you 7 things that you may or may not know about me…
1. I went to Arizona State University and graduated in 2000 with a degree in Marketing. After a few jobs, I decided I didn’t like the corporate side of Marketing and eventually got my teaching certificate. I taught 3rd grade before Ellie came along.
2. I love frogs and turtles. When we first moved to Texas, Tony yelled from our front door to come outside. He had found a toad in our side yard. I think he was a little taken back by me going right over to it, then asking if knew what happened when you picked one up. He shook his head. I picked it up, and it peed. {{{eeewwww! gross, right?}}} I was a tomboy growing up and was always messing around with frogs, toads, turtles, tadpoles, crawfish, polywogs and all those other creatures that made the prissy girls scream in horror.
3. I met my DH online. Seriously. I wanted to move away from AZ and I made up my mind that I was either going to TX or CA. I had my heart set on Southern California, because I figured this was the one chance in my life that I would be able to just pick up and go. I was searching apartments in the San Diego area and shaking my head of the cost of living. I finally realized that I had to have a roommate or I would be living in a 300 square foot loft for $850 a month. I got on a roommate finding website and got an email one day from someone seeking a roommate for a downtown 2 bed, 2 bath condo. That was Tony emailing me!! We got to emailing, then talking, then visiting, then moving in together (yes, we were crazy!!…in love). About a year and half later we were married and the rest is history.
4. Some of my favorites include the color red, Italian or GOOD Mexican food (not Tex-Mex crap) and country music.
5. I am an only child. For those of you who have met me, does this explain a lot?
6. I played soccer for a long time, but then had to have knee surgery. I don’t think I ever completely bounced back from that injury. I was playing indoor soccer in San Diego and re-injured my knee. I pretty much know that I can’t ever play again unless I want to go ahead and plan on another surgery.
7. My 2nd toe is longer than my big toe. “They” say this is a sign of being stubborn. Me stubborn?…hahahahaha!!!
Hee hee hee…I had to laugh at the toe thing. My second toe is longer than my big toe too and I’m definitely stubborn.
Well, we longer-second-toed gals are in good company then! And, as for the stubborn part, who says that has to be a bad thing??? Thanks for sharing your 7 things…
