Sketch For You To Try…

Posted by Jen | Bella, MFT, cards, challenges, designer of the month | Saturday, August 8, 2009

Anyone else loathing the summer heat? I can’t imagine that my pregnancy is making it any easier for me, but I am miserable. Then again, the heat index has been hovering over 100 degrees, so I don’t see how it could be very enjoyable. I don’t live in Arizona {anymore}, so I can’t hear, “Well, at least it’s a dry heat.” Nope, here in TX it’s a wet, soggy, humid heat…moist, if you will {I know a lot people squirm at that word, so that just seems appropriate}. Backing up to the “It’s a dry heat” comment. David Spade really said it best in a comedy routine when he replied to that comment with, “Well, so is my oven, but you don’t see me crawling in there.” Point made.

What I am thrilled about is that it is Saturday. I have another Copic class today and of course, a new SKETCH FOR YOU TO TRY…

Friday Fun…

Posted by Jen | Bella, The Cat's Pajamas, cards, challenges, projects | Friday, August 7, 2009

Happy Friday Everyone! I am posting a little later today because of swim lessons and general craziness this morning. I am actually at Susan’s house right now prepping for my Copic class tomorrow. Hopefully I will get that all done so I can stamp some more stuff, too.

As promised, I have a couple {I forgot that I already showed several at the release} The Cat’s Pajamas projects to show you and a Bella-rific Friday card, too. So let’s get started with all my TCP creations using all the new sets and embellies

As you may have seen, I will be stepping down from Bella team at the end of the month. Why in the world would I be so crazy enough to do that? Well, with the new baby on the way and me picking up some hours of teaching at Ellie’s school, I need to ease up on my commitments. Bella will always be near and dear to my heart {and wallet}. I love Emily and all things Bella and I wholeheartedly appreciate the opportunity she gave to me to be a Bella Babe. Thank you, Em!!

Have a Magical Day…

Posted by Jen | Bella, cards | Thursday, August 6, 2009

Um, it’s already Thursday! I can’t believe that this week has been flying by so quickly. Ellie is back in swim lessons and is doing great. I am so glad that we were able to get her into another session this summer to reinforce all the skills! She has done a complete 180! The very first day of the first session she was crying and not even wanting to get her head wet. Now they can’t get her attention because she has her face in the water non-stop. She is even trying to comfort the kiddos that are nervous about swimming. It’s really all very sweet!

Anyways, I am sure that you didn’t come here to hear my dissertation on how great swim lessons are going. Today I have a fun Bella {actually, it’s Puff} card for you. I think this would make a great card for a kiddo birthday or just to brighten someone’s day. I LOVED coloring this lil’ guy {gal?} and couldn’t decided on what color combo to choose. It’s fun because you can do an all monochromatic image, or mix 2, 3 or even 4 colors to make him more magical.

See ya tomorrow. I have a lot of fun The Cat’s Pajamas‘ projects for you to check out and another Bella card {for Bella-rific Friday}.

Taylored Expressions Release Day…

Posted by Jen | Taylored Expressions/Whimsical Wishes, product finds, projects | Wednesday, August 5, 2009

It’s here…release day for the new Taylored Expressions stamp sets. The two sets that are being released are Chillax, which was featured yesterday, and Berries and Cherries. The DT featured Berries and Cherries on Monday and I have another sample of that set today. This project is made from a Perfect Package Card Box. Don’t be fooled by the name, though, you can stuff it with much more than cards. Taylor put chocolates in her Card Box HERE.

What did I put in this box? Well, nothing yet…EEEK! I decided to take apart my stamp room. Of course, I had to put it back together and that kinda cut into the time I needed to seek out some of the goodies I needed. So, what do I want to put in here?….

Dark Pink and Red Cocktail Napkins
Tube of Pink Sugar to Rim a Margarita Glass
Plastic Ice Cubes in the Shape of Strawberries or in Dark Pink and Red Colors

Be sure to check out what the rest of the Taylored Expressions‘ DT has for you peek at, too…

Taylored Expressions Sneak Peeks, Day 2…

Posted by Jen | Taylored Expressions/Whimsical Wishes, cards, taylored expressions | Tuesday, August 4, 2009

Happy Tuesday! It’s day 2 of the sneak peeks for the upcoming {tomorrow!} Taylored Expressions release. Today the DT is showing you cards and projects featuring the set CHILLAX…yep, it’s a word! This is a fun set that has cute images and great sentiments. Here is what I made with the set…

It’s supposed to be a slice of lime for the embellishment. Hopefully that came through on the photo…LOL! Ok, I am making this super short and sweet, as I am pre-posting this on Monday night and I am BEAT from re-organizing my stamp room. I am not quite done yet, but I am certainly making progress. Unfortunately, the dishes, laundry and vacuuming aren’t doing themselves in the meantime!…I wish! Be sure to check out what the rest of the DT has in store for ya…
