Stamp A Sweet Impression Stamps Released…

Posted by Jen | ABC Friday, Taylored Expressions/Stamp A Sweet Impression, cards, projects | Thursday, September 4, 2008

Hip Hip Hooray!…It’s ABC Friday and Taylor’s stamp line, Stamp A Sweet Impression, has finally arrived!

The stamps can be purchased on the Taylored Expressions site. More info about the sets and the Design Team can be found on Taylor’s blog.

As I promised, I have a couple more things to show you. A couple weeks ago I showed you THIS Coffee Lover’s Set. Taylor contacted me in regards to making a Cupcake Lover’s Kit, and of course I got right on it. So here it is…

It is made with many of the Essential Ingredients {fun kits with paper, glitter, brads and ribbon}, and the cupcake stamp is from the Sweet Celebration set. Each of the tubes is filled sprinkles and nuts.

Even though it’s ABC Friday, I do have one card to show you. This shaker card took me FOREVER to make {don’t roll your eyes!!}. I had an idea in my head and it didn’t “take” the way that I thought it would. While the card itself is not my favorite, it does show off the cutie patootie images {and that sentiment cracks me up!}…

A Difficult Secret To Keep!!…

Posted by Jen | Taylored Expressions/Stamp A Sweet Impression, cards | Thursday, September 4, 2008

OMGoodness!! I have been sitting on this secret for awhile and finally I get to tell you!! Several weeks ago my friend, Taylor, asked if I would join her Rotating Design Team as she ventured into the wonderful world of having her very own stamp line: Stamp A Sweet Impression. Of course I said YES, and while I can say that I am so super excited to be on the team, I am so much more excited to see Taylor’s dream realized. If you haven’t already, please stop by her blog to give her a huge CONGRATS!

A few notes about the new goodies coming your way…

1. It’s deeply etched red rubber. See what I mean!?!…

2. It’s die cut. That means no trimming rubber…YAY!!! {see above pic}

So what have I been up to with these sets? Well, here’s a little peek. I’ll have more for you tomorrow, too!

Is It Too Early For A Martini?…

Posted by Jen | The Cat's Pajamas, cards, challenges | Tuesday, September 2, 2008

The answer to that is, YES, by the way! LOL!! Have you ever worked on a card and you love part of it {main focal image on this one, for me}, but the rest of it just doesn’t want to come together? Ugh!! I tried designer papers, cuttlebug folders {which really don’t fit a 4.25 x 8.5″ card}, other embellishments, etc. The stamping gods just had it out for me, I guess! I do like what I did for the focal image panel, but the rest kinda seems “blah.” Anyways, I’m not gonna keep blabbing about the part that didn’t come together as I planned. Let’s chat about the main image panel. I stamped the sentiment “Cheers!” in Ruby Red and Regal Rose several times, basically creating my own designer paper. The smaller circle, which BTW was created to mimic the pit of an olive, has Sprinkle in deep thoughts about a Cosmo. What can I say, she’s like Carrie {for all you SITC fans}!

So, here is the card that I created using Leigh’s sketch for TCP Tuesday. I may go back and try a different scale and hope for some better results. If you have any advice or something that you know that will work like a charm, let me know!!
