Sweet Friend…
While browsing on SCS yesterday, I noticed a few cards with the new Stamp A Sweet Impression stamps from Taylored Expressions. Are ya lovin’ ‘em or what? I have been working mainly with clear for so long now that I almost forgot what it was like to work with true quality rubber. I really hope that you are loving them as much as me. All that being said, I have a card using these sweet stamps to show today…
The base of the card is made from Chocolate Chip cardstock and then I layered it with cheapo {Georgia Pacific} white and yummy pink Prism cardstock. Speaking of Prism…a long while ago I got a stack of Prism paper and it has sat on my shelf for ages. I truly do {heart} my SU! cardstock, but I have to tell you that I go to that stack more and more these days. I am finding that there are lots of fun, and what some might call “updated” colors. It’s true that we don’t have the markers that directly match or a certain brand of ribbon that matches all the colors, but I promise that you will find this paper to be good quality and fun to work with. Now let me step off my “pitching mound” about this paper and tell ya more about what’s going on with this card. The image and sentiment are from Stamp A Sweet Impression’s Sweet Celebration set. The heart punches are ones that I picked up at Hobby Lobby. I prefer these to the more country looking heart punches. The sentiment flag is in between the two hearts, which are separated by a dimensional glue dot. Of course I couldn’t resist using my Swiss Dots Cuttlebug embossing folder on this. As for the final touches, the candle flames are covered with Diamond Stickles and the cherry on top is covered with glitter from the Birthday Girl Key Ingredients from TE.
