Is It Too Early For A Martini?…
Sep 2nd, 2008 by Jen
The answer to that is, YES, by the way! LOL!! Have you ever worked on a card and you love part of it {main focal image on this one, for me}, but the rest of it just doesn’t want to come together? Ugh!! I tried designer papers, cuttlebug folders {which really don’t fit a 4.25 x 8.5″ card}, other embellishments, etc. The stamping gods just had it out for me, I guess! I do like what I did for the focal image panel, but the rest kinda seems “blah.” Anyways, I’m not gonna keep blabbing about the part that didn’t come together as I planned. Let’s chat about the main image panel. I stamped the sentiment “Cheers!” in Ruby Red and Regal Rose several times, basically creating my own designer paper. The smaller circle, which BTW was created to mimic the pit of an olive, has Sprinkle in deep thoughts about a Cosmo. What can I say, she’s like Carrie {for all you SITC fans}!
So, here is the card that I created using Leigh’s sketch for TCP Tuesday. I may go back and try a different scale and hope for some better results. If you have any advice or something that you know that will work like a charm, let me know!!

The cute part, with a Bella martini charm…

I hope that you will play along with us!! EVERYONE is invited to play in the TCP Tuesday challenges {waving hello to Australian friends!!}…

Toota-loo,
Karen
I like it. I think the solid papers go with the retro theme. Very fun.
I think it turned out great, Jen! The simplicity of the rest of the card just highlights that fab panel! You did a great job and thanks for sharing it!
Cute card! I realized the small circle was like the pit of a martini olive, so I found it quite clever. (Plus, I like olives, yum.) I like the colors, and I like that little martini charm! The main image panel is not ‘blah’! I think it makes a great stage for the focal image, and I like two shades of pink/red!
Love this card Jen!
So super cute!!!
oh jen it’s super cute silly girl!!! but boy do i know the process you were describing…….
