Taylored Expressions Release Day…

Over the past couple of days, myself and the rest of the Taylored Expressions Design Team have been showing projects featuring new Taylored Expressions stamps that are AVAILABLE NOW! I had so much fun playing with these stamps when I first got them, that I still have 2 more cards to show you today.

This card is actually the first on that I did. When I get new stamps I sit down with the stamps, my sketch book and a cup of coffee/tea and jot down all the ideas and sketches that come into my brain. When I go back to these notes I pull a bunch of things together and make a card/project. Not only was this the first card that I did, but it was also the first sketch that came to mind…

Of course, I had to use some Kraft paper with a couple of cards. The first one that I did with Kraft was the owl card from 2 days ago and this time I paired it up with Cuppie…

Both of these cards feature products from the new Taylored Expressions Key Ingredients kit. I LOOOVE the flowers that are in it…so cute and they make the perfect addition to sentiment panels, or do well on their own. As always, check out the eye candy rest of the Design Team came up with!

See ya here tomorrow with an easy Easter ABC project! :)

Sweet Spring…

This is my second post for today! Be sure to scroll down so you don’t miss the MFT blog hop post. :)

Several months ago, when Taylor initially asked me to be on her design team and showed me these fabby cupcakes, I was so excited. Her cupcake obsession is almost contagious because of all the fun images that have come out, and this release is no different. Yesterday, I told you that there are 3 new Taylored Expressions sets coming out and I showed you stuff from 2 of them. The final one is in the spotlight today, Sweet Spring. This set features a variety of spring and Easter images with Cuppie as the “main character.” Here he {she?} is enjoying some yummy jellybeans…

The main image was stamped on Taylored Expressions’ Choice Snow White cardstock and then mounted on Frosted Kiwi cardstock. The Frosted Kiwi cardstock, along with the ricrac, patterned paper, sheer flower and brad are all part of the new Key Ingredients Kit that comes out tomorrow. The rest of the DT also has some wonderful eye candy/sneak peeks for you to see. Be sure to check them out! Links to their blogs can be found HERE on the Taylored Expressions site.

Nite Nite Ellie…

Posted by Jen | Ellie, MFT, blog hopping, cards | Tuesday, March 3, 2009

Are you having fun hoppin’? If you came to me by way of Jody, you are on the right track. If you want to start at the beginning of the blog hop, click HERE for Kim’s blog. When you are all done here, head on over to see Craphead, ahem…Cammie!

Stamping makes me happy. My daughter makes me happy. Stamping my daughter makes me REALLY HAPPY! No, I didn’t actually ink up a stamp and put it on her. I stamped her image and made a card. Yep, an image of Ellie! This new set from My Favorite Things is called Nite Nite Ellie. The concept of the set was developed by me and Kim {MFT head honcho}. Another cool thing about this set is that it supports St. Jude Children’s Hospital. Just in case this question comes up…No, Ellie is not sick and we have not sought out the help of St. Jude’s personally; however, this is a wonderful organization and it does help a lot of families. I hope that you will help us help them.

If you haven’t met Ellie, let me introduce you…

This is gonna be my favorite set ever, I just know it. Yes, it has personal ties, but I love how easy it was to paper piece, too. That paper that you see is NEW MFT paper! Kim took some of the digital paper designs and had them made into real DP!! YAY! The digi paper is awesome, but I do love the real stuff! I created the crescent moon by cutting out a circle with my Nestabilities, and then I cut out the crescent part with the same circle. The stars were punched out and popped up on glue dots for some added dimension.

Now, hop on over to Cammie’s blog to see some more Ellie cuteness!

Taylored Expressions Sneak Peeks…

Posted by Jen | Taylored Expressions/Whimsical Wishes, cards | Tuesday, March 3, 2009

On Thursday, Taylored Expressions will be releasing 3 new sets, including two from a new line called Whimsical Wishes. Today I am showing a couple cards from this line, featuring the sets Branching Out and Branching Out Coordinates. Not only are these great stamps {images & quality}, but proceeds will benefit Eden Project, an organization that supports going green in a big way. Note that these stamps are not die cut rubber, like other Taylored Expressions stamps. This is so that more money would go to Eden Projects. The rubber is still the deeply etched quality red rubber that you are used to from TE.

Believe or not, this card uses images from the same sets…gotta love that versatility!!

By the way, the egg card uses some elements from the new Taylored Expressions Key Ingredients kit. I’ll be chatting at you about that later tho! ;) Wanna see more sneak peeks? Check out the blogs of the rest of the Design Team. Links to everyone can be found HERE.

Busy, busy day today! Have a good one!

This is what I came up with…

I don’t think that I would have put these colors {More Mustard, Kiwi Kiss and Close To Cocoa} together on my own, but I truly like the way that it came out. I’m putting this sketch in my book, so you might be seeing it again. ;)

I’m keeping this short and sweet today. Have a great day!
