Hey there! I’ve got A LOT going on here today! First things first, it’s WORLD CARDMAKING DAY! As I noted a couple days ago, this is a holiday {yes, it is!!} that was started by Paper Crafts Magazine few years ago in an effort to bring card makers together. You will find a variety of links on the World Card Making Day site, including lots of inspiration and a place to share your own work! Keep reading until the end to find out how this ties into my blog candy.

As you may know, each month I bring on one person to be the Designer Of The Month here at iheart2stamp. This month, I am so happy to present to you Nancy Riley, aka Stampinat6213. Please give her a warm welcome, and of course delight in her card creation.

A little about Nancy in her own words…
What an incredible honor it is to be Jen’s October Guest Designer! Jen first offered this opportunity to me just as I was preparing to return to full-time work outside of the home for the first time in 13 years. At the time, I couldn’t even imagine how I would possibly find the time to do anything FUN like this! After several weeks, I am still completely out of my element working full-time away from home and miss my role as SAHM, but have discovered that I’ve just GOT to make time for stamping! It is truly something I’m passionate about that brings me so much satisfaction and enjoyment.

I’ve been married for 18 years, and am Mom to my teenage daughter and teenage son. I was born and raised an Iowa farm girl, and have lived in the Arizona desert for 22 years.

Who can resist these Rachelle Anne Miller stamps? I just {heart} these images, so when this one came in the mail the other day I knew that I had to use it for today’s Sketch For You To Try. I just crossed over 600K yesterday {woot woot!}, so I am going to do another chance to win a goodie bag from me for all those that participate in this week’s SFYTT. It’s Saturday…already. I swear the days are going by too fast! Did you all watch the opening ceremonies? I actually haven’t yet. We DVR’d {greatest invention EVER} them and I hope to speed watch later today. Ellie {now 2} has seen the advertisements for the gymnastics team and I actually think she gets excited about it. She loves seeing them do all their flips and twirls. Yesterday she saw one of the commercials and said, “Oooh…dancing, forward rolls, big bars {i.e. high bars}.” We go to Little Gym every week, so she knows what she is seeing, just not exactly what is going on.

Like I said, it’s SATURDAY. You know what that means around here…SKETCH FOR YOU TO TRY! I **really** like the sketch for today! Being that I like it so much, I hope you will play, too. My sample using one of the latest releases, Totally Witchin’, from My Favorite Things…

The web paper is from DCWV and the other DP is from K&Co. I wanted to do something other than the traditional Halloween colors and I thoughts these, along with the patterns are just perfect for this card. I put some black Stickles on the hat and their boots. It looks really cool in person, but didn’t come out as cool in the pic. Oh, well! The little bat is from a sticker pack that I picked up at Wal-Mart last year.

Bonnie Sharp is the Guest Designer for this month and she has created the cutest card {you know I love those chichiboulie fairies!}…

It’s that time of the month again…no, not that! It’s time for My Favorite Things‘ new release sneak peeks, or as we like to call them: MFTeasers. On Wednesday MFT will be releasing a handful of new sets, including 2 new Halloween sets…YAY! I think I have said this before, but Halloween is not my favorite holiday for celebrating, but I love all the decor and crafting that goes along with it! On Saturday I showed you two of the stamps that are in the new MONSTER SQUAD set. Today I am showing you the other two stamps AND giving you a chance to win the set!!

HOW DO I WIN? Leave a comment on this post telling me what your favorite Halloween costume was when you were a kid. I will announce a winner on Wednesday morning. I think I was either 5 or 6 when I had a plastic CareBear costume. I LOVED that thing! I laugh each time I come across those pictures. That year my best friend was Wonder Woman, so we were quite the pair!
