Today it’s all good! I will leave it up to you to define good…

Remember that Martha Stewart tinsel glitter I used on my card yesterday? Well, it was still sitting on my desk and was screaming out to be used on my bunny’s Santa hat. Want to know how to make it super duper sparkly? Apply it on top of Diamond or Stardust Stickles…

Since I brought out the tinsel glitter for a little shimmer, I added a little shine to the gifts as well…

I’ll be back tomorrow with some more TCP goodness paired with another SKETCH FOR YOU TO TRY. Until then, be sure to check out what defines good on Julie, Susan and Joanne’s blogs.

Welcome to the 2nd stop on the Your Next Stamp November Release Blog Hop! Hopefully, you’ve rolled on in from Maureen’s blog and when you head on out, you’ll be going to Jenny’s blog {I’ll link her later, too}.

Before I get to my creation, here’s a few deets you might want to know…

**One lucky winner will be drawn at random from the comments at Karen’s blog to receive a new release stamp package. It’s not a requirement for you to comment at every stop along the hop to be eligible, but the DT would sure love to hear what you think of their new release creations!
**Get 20% off your order by using the code YNSNOV {available until Nov. 25}

Here’s my creation using the newest Ellie stamp, Ellie Building a Snowman…

I used my Sakura stardust pen and blended it with an alcohol filled aqua painter to achieve this soft glittery effect…

Sneaky Peek Week continues for The Cat’s Pajamas!

sneakypeekblog

I’m glad that I have been able to stamp the last few days! Yesterday, Ellie slept the day away as her body fought off strep throat. Tony has pink eye in both eyes and I think that I have a little of each of their ailments. Needless to say, our house is in need of a good dousing with Lysol! Got the heebie jeebies yet? I’ll get on with the part about stamping…

Today I am showing you a card using stamps from the set, Like You a Latte, that will be released on November 23. I also used the Big Scallop Border CutUp die, also to be released next week.

My Favorite Things VIP Hop…

Posted by Jen | MFT, Tutorials, projects | Tuesday, November 16, 2010

Welcome to your next stop along this month’s VIP hop for My Favorite Things. You should have started at Kim’s blog, hopped along from my friend, Susan’s blog and when you hippity hop along outta here, you will be going to Sherrie’s blog {I’ll be linking her later, too}.

This month’s VIP Collection {available for ONE DAY ONLY} allows you to get a little jump start on all your Valentine creations. I know it might seem to think that far ahead, but every year I wish I had done a little more ahead of time. Here’s what is included in the VIP Collection

I made a little treat box using the Die-Namics die from the Polka Dot Greetings Set and Die Duo. The “how to” is below all the detail pics. I used a sentiment from the VIP EXCLUSIVE set Bottom of my Heart Additions as well as the Hearts a Plenty Die-Namics {included in the VIP Collection}…

Here’s a little how to on these cute lil’ boxes…

1. Die cut FOUR of the Polka Dot Greeting Die-Namics and 2 of each of the hearts in the Hearts a Plenty Die-Namics
2. Cut a square measuring 2.75″ and a length of cardstock for the handle measuring about 1/2″ x 7″. You will also need a piece of cardstock for the sentiment. The size of this will vary depending on which sentiment you choose.

3. Score the die cuts according to this…

4. Adhere the “folded out” tabs. If you wish to add MFT mini brads, do this before adhering these tabs together.
5. Place square on inside of the box, adhering it to the “folded in” tabs.
6. Attach handle and hearts and embellish as desired.

Alright, off you go to the super talented and wonderfully sweet Sherrie’s blog!

TCP Tuesday & Sneaky Peeky Week…

Posted by Jen | The Cat's Pajamas, cards, challenges | Tuesday, November 16, 2010

Hello friends! I meant to post yesterday, but I was taking care of a little sicky-poo-head lil’ girl. Last week it was Nic and he tagged Ellie in on Sunday. I swear they are taking turns! I think the whirlwind weekend in San Diego surprising Tony’s grandma {twice!} for her 75th birthday just took its toll on Ellie. Hopefully the penicillin will kick in soon and she will actually take another spoonful without a fuss. Well, crazier things have happened! I did get a little stamping time in, fortunately!

This week is Sneaky Peek for The Cat’s Pajamas!

sneakypeekblog

Along with it being DAY TWO of Sneaky Peek Week, it’s also TCP Tuesday and Toni is your Hipster Hostess with the Mostess and she brings you a fun inspiration challenge…

Here’s what I came up with using the colors and circles for my points of inspiration…
tellittothepaw

How cute is that bear? He’s part of the soon to be released set, Big Bear, that will be released next Tuesday, November 23. The die cut top and bottom panels are also part of the release, along with 3 other new CutUps dies.

I mentioned above that I missed posting yesterday, and this is the card that I wanted to show you…

snowflakegirl_shapedcard

The images are from the set Snowflake Girl and that snowflake is another one of the CutUps that will be available next Tuesday. Here’s a detail shot of the card…

I embossed the snowflake image behind her with pearlescent clear embossing powder, and then added white Flower Soft as snow underfoot. Here’s a detail shot…

The above card was also featured on the Christmas Card Challenge blog HERE. Thanks for having me, girls!

As I mentioned above, fellow TCP DT member is your Hostess with the Mostess this week and all challenge details can be found on her blog HERE. Sony also has a Sneaky Peek Week sample for you to check out HERE.

As I mentioned, the release is on Tuesday, November 23 {really, it’s Monday night!}…just one week away! Will be be having a release party in our SCS Forum from 7-9 EST on Monday night {November 23}. Don’t miss it! I’ll be seeing you more this week with more sneak peeks…see ya then!

Ok, I’m off to take care of the kiddos. Happy stamping!
