Verve Sneak Peek…

Posted by Jen | Verve, blog hopping, cards | Thursday, December 2, 2010

Verve is have a wee lil’ release tomorrow night. Don’t be fooled by the size, though, there’s some good sets to be had…including a concept from yours truly! You’ll have to wait until tomorrow to see that one, though!

This first card is from a new set called AMAZING WISHES. It’s a set of wonderful sentiments, along with a couple of flowers and a tag. Very cute and very Verve-y!…

These cute little birds are from the new set WORDY BIRDS {that’s just so fun to say!}. This my attempt at “simple masculine”…

I’m really looking forward to making a cute baby card or tag with this set…and there’s a perfect sentiment to go with it, too!

This post is so short and sweet because I am feeling quite under the weather. I’m off to sip some hot honey lemon water and crawl under the covers. See you tomorrow with more Verve-y-ness!

There are lots of peeks going on, so check out JULEE’S BLOG for the beginning of the hop and a full list of hoppers/peekers. If you are already moving down the line, check out what Tosh has in store for you next. We are overlapping this release a couple days with the Project Parade, so don’t forget to take a look at all the great Project Parade goodies on the VERVE BLOG.

For the Love of MFT…

Posted by Jen | Holidays, MFT, cards | Wednesday, December 1, 2010

It’s release day {well, actually it’s tonight} at My Favorite Things and the last day of teasers. Today I am featuring a BUNCH ofDie-Namics {**love**} and the set, Clearly Sentimental About Love. It’s part of the Clearly Sentimental line at MFT. This started as one card, but I liked the paper combo and I had some “extra” {hahaha} time, so I went ahead and made a set…

lovetrio_cards

This set doesn’t lend itself to doing and outside and inside; however, you can very easily do the inside with matching paper and the use of MFT Die-Namics. I created an inside of each of the cards that coordinates with the outside that is stamped.

ETA: What I meant is that that each sentiment stands well on it’s own without a pair on the inside. Obviously, other sets could be used on the inside, but I wanted to feature the set on it’s own with the Die-Namics.

Card 1…

There are actually THREE Die-Namics used in this card~ Hearts a Plenty, Dainty Dots and Small Scallop Border…

It’s day Day 4 of Teasers for My Favorite Things and the eve of the release! It’s also the last day to enter the Guest Designer contest {it closes at 10PM EST}. Today I get to show you the newest set from the Jolinne line, Friendship is a Shelter

Her wool coat is a little extra wool-y, since I had to work a little magic after a sweet lil’ 4 year old wanted to “see if it was dry yet.” It’s a good thing she’s cute ;)

The umbrella is popped up and then I glued down each side to make it look more spherical…or half spherical. I also put a thin layer of Diamond Glaze on top of it…

MFT Teasers…

Monday morning greetings! It’s DAY 3 for MFT Teasers {DAY 1 here}. Can you believe a new My Favorite Things release is already upon us this Wednesday? Time flies when you’re having fun, I guess! Today you will find many of the DT Members peeking one of MFT’s most popular lines…Pure Innocence.

This card features the new Pure Innocence, Sending a Box of Love…

pi_chocobox

I popped up the chocolate box…
pi_chocobox_detail

A little story…
I didn’t originally plan on popping up the box of chocolates, but as soon as I laid down the paper pieces for her dress, I knew I “had to.” At the time, I didn’t have a spare moment to color another box of chocolates and cut it out, so I got out my Exacto knife and cut it out. In hindsight, I probably spent the same amount of time trying to precisely cut out the box as it would have taken to color another image. As Ellie would say, “Classic Mama!”

I am totally in love with the Hearts a Plenty Die-Namics and have actually used them numerous times. I hadn’t planned on using them on this card, though. LOL! You know that little saying, “It’s not a mistake, it’s an opportunity to embellish?” Let’s just saying this card is proof of that!

By the way, here’s what the Hearts a Plenty Die-Namics looks like. Pretty cute, huh?…

I’m sure that you are chomping at the bit to see more Pure Innocence girls…and boys and to see what other Die-Namics are coming out in just 2 days. So, head on over to Kim’s blog for full details about the release and a list of all the DT Members that have peeks on their blogs.
