Giving THINK PINK New Meaning…
First of all, I want to thank everyone that bid and/or promoted the THINK PINK auction from MFT that support the Susan G. Komen Foundation. The winning bid was $112.50!! That’s wonderful!
Second, if you haven’t had a chance to do the sketch from this weekend, I hope you’ll give it a shot. Later this afternoon, I will be drawing a participant’s name to receive the card I made for it. I will contact you via email if your name is drawn.
Now, onto my card for today…Giving THINK PINK new meaning. Last week I posted a card with pink Christmas ornaments. I’m at it again with more pink for my holiday cards. Just like last week, I am using Julee’s Mojo Monday sketch. I used my Cuttlebug to emboss the Regal Rose layer with snowflakes. I went back and forth on whether or not to rub White Craft Ink on it, and then decided not to. Somedays I like that technique and other days and am not really into it. I guess yesterday falls into the latter category. However, I think that I might go back and do this card over with the White Craft.

Here’s a detail shot of the main image. You can see how I popped up the center tree and used a Sakura Stardust pen on each the trees.

Dimensions: Standard
Stamps: SU! Merry and Bright
Paper: SU! Cardstock in Real Red, Regal Rose, Whisper White
Ink: Brilliance Graphite Black, Copic Markers
Other: Cuttlebug Embossing Folder, Punches, Rhinestone Brad, Sakura Stardust Pen
Finally…Did you see her? My friend Carole was on Who Wants To Be A Millionaire yesterday. She wraps up her appearance today, so don’t miss it!! In April, I met Carole at the Arlington Stamp Day. We hit it off right away and I can honestly say that she is one of the nicest and coolest people…and stampers…that I have met! Way to go Carole!! I can’t wait to see the outcome!

Yes, I really took a pic of my tv!! LOL!!!

Such a cute card! I love my stardust pen.
And YAY Carole! BTW, I have that same TV…lol
I love the details on this card! The bling and the stardust are a perfect touch.
Love the card - I can’t resist anything with pink on it!
And thanks for the reminder about Carole!
I think PINK cards are great!!!! What a fun wintery card. As for Carole, I was so excited to see her on TV but I am not sure we can get that in Canada…I diligently watched the satellite for that show and the only ones on were old episodes. PLEASE fill us in on the details!!!
LOVE this card! Those trees look awesome in pink!
really like the pink card, but i’m more curious to know what kind of camera you use to get the super closeups you provide of details of your projects (not to mention cute little girls with names that state with “E”).
Ah! I’m so excited! I ordered that set last night! I’m totally copying it!
Love this card, love the non traditional pink pink and the trees are great.
What a gorgeous card. Those trees look fabulous in pink. I love that you took a picture of your tv. It sounds like something I would do!
Jen, What a gorgeous card! Your detail shot is great too–love the pink for a Christmas card!
Jen! I LOVE that pink card! I may need to CASE it this year. I have a friend whom I ALWAYS make a pink card for Christmas. She loves pink, not sure her husband is always thrilled with my cards though…haha!
I didn’t see Carole. We don’t get that show on TV anymore here in Canada. It’s repeats on our Access channel. Darn! Hope she did well!
I LOVE this card. It’s adorable and has so many layers to look at. I think I might need that tiny tree stamp now…*sigh* I’m always enabled by your creations!
First of all, I LOVE the ink card! I like how you popped up the middle tree! I know what you mean about the ink on the embossing, as I often go back and forth about leaving it as is or adding it!
Secondly, I too made a special point to watch Carol! Hubby and I were laughing when she was talking about picking the baseball teams! Worked for her with the name question and she must have done something right walking away with $50,000!!!
OMG Carole on Who wants….how cool is that. I missed her. I don’t get off work in time.
Love the pink card!! Perfect for Julee’s challenge. Have a wonderful afternoon. I am loving our texas weather this week. chirs
Jen, your card is fantastic! Love the pink trees, the dry embossing, the paper piercing and the bling!
How cool is that Carole is on that show! I will have to try and catch it.
I love the card. You said you used the snowflakes embossing part which is a Cuttlebug? I looked for it at Michaels and could not find it. Where did you purchase it? Is it a big Cuttlebug plate or a small one?
Thanks.
Lisa
PS-Please email me the information.
I LOVE this card so much!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I might even have to CASE it.
I missed Carol on tv and now I need to know how it turned out!
