Hey SFYTT Friends! Have you played along with this month’s sketch yet? If not, you still have time…until January 31st at midnight, to be exact. As I noted in last week’s post, there are a couple of changes happening to SFYTT. It’s still a monthly sketch and there is still a prize up for grabs, but I am hoping to have it be a little more organized on this end so that it will hopefully provide you with more inspiration…

Just so you know how it will work…All of the Sisters will post on the first Saturday of the month, then 1/2 will post on the 2nd Saturday and the other 1/2 will post on the 3rd Saturday and then we all come together again during the last week {not necessarily the last Saturday for all of the designers} of the month.

Nothing says weekend like a margarita {on the rocks} with {lots of} salt! So, let me kick off the weekend with a little {stamped} margarita love featuring the Market Street set TIKI TIME…

Now, that’s what I am calling taking it with a grain of salt {created with Stickles}…

I had fun playing with the bright colors and mix of patterns to create the 4 panels behind the main image panel. The sentiment is colored like the margaritas and, like the main image panel, is mounted on a piece of black cardstock for little bit of POP! I added the vertical strip of green pattern paper behind the margarita glass to break up the white that was driving me a little crazy {LOL!}.

In celebration of my first post as a part of the Market Street team, I am giving away the cutie patootie set COMFORT FOOD. Just leave me a comment telling me your favorite {comfort} food before January 22nd at 12noon CST. I’ll announce the winner on my January 23rd MSS post.

Oh my goodness…more new stamps to kick off the new year in crafty style! It’s been a blast the last few weeks playing with all the new these new goodies! Each company that I work with brings out a different stamping style in me. Sometimes it’s clean and simple, other times it’s a bit on the “more is more” side. Today, you can see that it’s representative of the latter as I played with some of the new VERVE stuff mixed with some previously released stamps and dies…

Sentiment from the new WINGS OF LOVE set…

I absolutely LOVE this new ALL AFLUTTER butterfly die! I cut out 3 butterflies from pattern paper {Crate Paper}, scored them down the middle and then adhered them together to create this dimensional butterfly…

The butterfly is topped with a heart from the FROM THE HEART die set and is flying off toward some die cut ELEGANT LEAVES {stamped from the BLOOM & GROW set}. I thought this card was finished when I had leaves just on the lower left corner, but Ellie pointed out that there should be leaves on the top, too. I think that she might just have an eye for design! Future Dirty Dozen?…a mom can dream, right? LOL!!

Did you make it to the release party on the TCP forum on SCS? I popped in for a little while, but I have to say that I was totally drained after running from Nic’s doctor appt. and then to get a chest x-ray and to the pharmacy a couple times after getting a call that it may be pneumonia. What a Monday! Here’s to a better rest of the week!

As I said above, I am drained from a {very} long day, which was after a {very} long night filled with Nic coughing {and coughing!} and thunder loud enough to shake the house. Fortunately, it did not wake Ellie who is **not** a fan of thunder. So, I am keeping the chatter to a minimum, heading to bed {can you tell I am pre-posting?} and sending you to the next stop along the hop…
