Oh my goodness!…Count ‘em ONE, TWO, THREE posts so far this week! I am surprising myself here! I even have a couple more planned to round out the week before another SKETCH FOR YOU TO TRY on Saturday. A couple things before I get started on the meat of this post…

I have TWO chances for blog candy, or blog tarts, as I like to call them…

1. All participants of Saturday’s SKETCH FOR YOU TO TRY will be entered to win a FABBY prize from MFT. More deets on THIS post.

2. You can win a very fun {and funny} set from Skipping Stones Designs just by leaving a comment on THIS post.

Ok, so here we are on Wednesday and I have my TCP Tuesday card using A BEARY GOOD YEAR, one of the most versatile {and cute!} sets I have ever used…

First, let me say THANK YOU to everyone that participated! I’d love to see everyone play each week. I know that challenges are a dime a dozen these days and I do appreciate the support here! THANK YOU!

The winner of the prize package is…

JOANNE GILCH!

The winner was randomly chosen by Tony. I asked him to pick a # 1-4 for the weeks. He chose 3 and then I asked him to choose a # 1-86 and he chose 81. I went to the Slide site and counted it out until I got to 81. Joanne, you have until Sunday at midnight to contact me via email {link under my pic} to claim this GRAND prize. Another HUGE THANK YOU to those companies that donated goodies for this giveaway.

The Designer of the Month for March has been chosen and contacted and will be announced this Saturday. It certainly was a tough decision, but feel that you will love who I chose. I will be choosing future Designer of the Months through participation. I don’t look for people who are “famous” or have a certain style, but rather someone that just catches my eye in one way or another. Can’t wait to see wait you come up with this month!

ABC Friday…

TGIF! Today I have a couple of things to show you. First, I made some of my own embellishments using the Slice machine, Cuttlebug, Primas, a button and dimensional glue dots. These were SO EASY to put together and ANYONE can do this! So, you are saying, “I don’t have a Slice machine!” No problem…if you have scissors, you can cut a couple flowers out of paper. Yes, that is a **little** more work, but it does work!

Here’s the finished product, which I will be giving away VERY SOON…
sliceflowers

How I did it…
First, I cut 2 different 2 flowers with the Slice machine (2″ and 1.5″). I used the Swiss Dots Cuttlebug embossing folder to emboss the larger one. I then placed a dimensional glue dot between the 2 flowers. I glued a Prima flower on top and then topped it all off with a button. Done and done!…easy peasy! I made all six in less than 20 minutes…including the packaging!

I have one more thing to show you today. This is the project that I did for the Verve Stamps Project Parade. The theme this month is “Egg-stra Special Spring.” All of the DT members have been posting their special projects with this theme on the Verve blog. I chose to make little favor/treat bags. These are really tiny and cute! The bag measures about 2.5″ x 3.5″.

See you tomorrow for another SKETCH FOR YOU TO TRY!
