Simple Bride Card…
I have been hopelessly behind on some things that I have been wanting to get done. Stamping with this new Whiff of Joy stamp {Willow as Bride} is one of them. I got in the mail a few weeks ago and it has been staring at me. Finally, I got a chance to use it the other day. I just love the image and I knew that the rest of the card didn’t need a whole lot more going on. So here’s my very simple design that really lets the image “speak” on it’s own.
At first, I just had the white and Soft Sky, but then I added the black and loved how it gave a little “pop.” In addition to the black for pop, I added some sparkle to the veil…

I know that I have shared this tip before, but just in case anyone out there missed it…
To get a more even sparkle, I use a Sakura Stardust pen along all the edges and then draw all the sparkle in by using an aqua-painter filled with rubbing alcohol. I know that there are a lot of fans of the Spica pens, but I just can’t get them to work for me the way that I would like them to, especially over larger areas.

What a pretty card! Thanks for the cool tip on the Sakura pen; I hadn’t heard that before; the shimmer on her veil is just lovely!
Love the simplicity of the design and the complexity of the image!
So pretty, Jen! Thanks for the tip again, I’d forgotten about that trick!
Jen, This card is beautiful. I love this image. The best background is the embossed panel. It is just stunning. Thank you for sharing with us.
This bride doesn’t compare to the one I saw on 9-27-03.
Yeah I did.
XOXO
Oh, Tony…………how sweet
xoxoxo
What a pretty card. The background reminds me of lace and I love the shimmer you added to the veil.
Gorgeous, Jen — and could Tony be sweeter? You can tell he’s a Sooner…
STUNNING!!!! Could you give me more details on the tip? Do you di p the pen in the alcohol and then “paint” or what?
beautiful card! Great tip about the stardust pen, i’ll have to try that!
Darlin’ card and Tony is just so sweet!!!
BEAUTIFUL CARD…LOVE IT!
Great tip for the spica glitter pens - can’t wait to try it; thanks Jen!
