ABC Friday~All About Ellie…

Posted by Jen | Ellie, Family, random ramblings | Friday, June 12, 2009

Happy Friday everyone! Today is going to be an ABC Friday, but without a paper project. I have a few pics and Ellie-isms to share with you. If you are not familiar with Ellie, let me tell you that she is super sweet, super kind and pretty darn funny. I really couldn’t ask for a better kiddo!! She has her moments, though!

Last night while brushing her teeth, I had to continually ask her to do something {can’t even remember what that particular something was now}. I had to ask her several times and was getting a little frustrated and said, “Ellie, I don’t want to have to ask you do something 3 times.” Very sweetly she looks at me and says, “Well, then ask me 4 times.” For that, I had no words!

Here are a few pictures from her last day at Little Gym. The first 3 are a series of her doing a forward roll, then there is the one of her getting her medal and the last one is her cheery smile that brings me so much happiness.

Now, for one last story. This one also comes from yesterdays adventures. We made a quick run to Albertson’s to get some groceries and I was getting ground beef from the butcher. She decided that she wanted some, too {of her very own}. When he handed the meat to me and asked if I needed anything else, she piped up and YELLED… “um, MAN…gimme some of that, too, please.” I know that it was so much funnier in person, but I can’t believe that my {almost 3yo} child just chimed in with this!! LOL!

See you tomorrow for a another SKETCH FOR YOU TO TRY!

She is SO cute. :) Thanks for the cute story. I love to hear what kids have to say. LOL My daughter, when she was about 4, was being a pain about getting in the car. I told her that she better get her bootie in the car. She promptly turned around and stuck her bootie in the car and said, “there you go”. OMG! LOL PS: I hope you let her have a pound of ground beef. :)

I have an almost 3yo myself…and let me tell you- I understand how hard it is sometimes to keep a straight face! :) A few days ago Jake told me he was “going to pick something up for his wife”, and then later on he was going to teach his sister how to “shake her booty”…ooooooooooh dear! :)

I can hear her now, Um, Man??? Just precious! I remember when my son took gymnastics and his forward roll at the year end show seemed like slow motion but, man, the cheer he got from the crowd! Ahhhh, memories! Enjoy every minute Jen; seems like yesterday but mine are 26 and 24 now!

The “ask me 4 times” comment made me laugh out loud! How darling! Being a mom to a girl is simply the best - no matter the age. . .my DD will be 13 in a couple of months. . . I really wish we had age 3 all over again. . .it goes by so fast!
