Take Time…

Take Time To Enjoy Your Day…isn’t that a wonderful reminder to just take a step back and relax and enjoy the moment?! Last night Tony and I got a moment to sit down and enjoy a movie together. He was nice enough to let me pick the movie and I chose P.S. I Love You. Have you seen this? OMG, did I cry and cry and cry! I am kind of a wimp when it comes to thinking about love and death. I cried more than I cried at the Notebook. LOL! I am such a girl! I thought it was a great movie and it was certainly chocked full of lots of talented people. Plus, Harry Connick, Jr. isn’t too rough to look at for a couple of hours! Well, I’m on a hunt for the book now. I’m sure I’ll need to have a box of tissues right next to me during that read!
Back to what this stamping blog is about…
This image and sentiment are from Cornish Heritage Farms. The heat of the upcoming summer must be getting to me because I went with bright colors again. The turtle is colored with Copics and then cut out and mounted on dimensional glue dots. It looks really cool in person to have him popping off the card. The double-sided DP is from Imaginesce and is called Tea Party from their Let’s Pretend line. This is some of my favorite DP of all time. It’s not that easy to find, especially when there are no scrapbook stores around here anymore. So, I am forced to hoard it. FORCED, I tell ya! As for the finishing touches, I put a strip of red felt ric-rac on along the bottom of the center panel. I love the texture and dimension this gives to projects! It is from Creative Cafe, along with a few of those buttons you see. Although, I think a couple of those buttons are just from my stash.

Awww, he’s cute!
This is darling, the buttons are a nice touch!
Oh isn’t he adorable?!!! I love that DP too but only ever bought one sheet(smacking head now) and could never find it again….bummer!
My husband actually watched that movie on satallite the other night(by himself) then the next morning told me I shouldn’t have fallen asleep…and to check it out. I asked if he cried…he said…no…I bet he fibbed
I too cried a lot at both the Notebook and P.S. I Love You. Both I watched without my hubby!
Love your bright colours on this card. I don’t know why you shy away from bright colours. You do them so well!
Have a great day.

Hi Jen,
Cute Card! Yes, I watched that movie and cried and cried. I did not know it was going to be that sad!!! Have a great week!
Oh my word! This is so cute…love the colors.
Very, very cute card. Colouring if fantastic and that little turtle is such a darling. TFS.
I haven’t seen that movie but I really want to!
This card is so flippin cute! The picture makes the dots on the turtles shell look like they’re dry embossed.
I read the book first, it is os much better than the movie and I liked the movie!! Lots of tissues needed.
Your card is super cute!
You can find the P.S. I Love You book at Target–I just saw it a couple of days ago.
I love your blog.
Thanks for sharing your beautiful work.
I love the bright summer colors.
Isn’t that the best movie. I cried and then laughed and then did it all over again. I love the irish accents, yum!!!
As for the card that turtle is adorable and so is the paper!!
Since I was a sobbing mess after the notebook(not to mention completely convinced that my DH didn’t love me enough), I don’t know if I could watch that!! Your card is adorable, and I LOVE that paper, I need some to hoard too!!
Ya know, the girls at work keep telling me to rent it but then I hear about their sobbing and I dunno…I completely LOST IT on the plane back from Hawaii when they played The Notebook. It’ll have to be one of those movies I save for that night that I really need a good cry! Heck, I watch Oprah and end up in a puddle of tears!! LOL xoxo
Oh how stinkin’ CUTE! I LOVE him in all those different colors!
What a cute card! I love anything with ric rac, just gotta smile when I see that.
By the way they still have that paper at franticstamper.com
In case you are afraid if running out.
I’ve been afraid to watch that movie because I know I’ll end up a blubbering fool. Wouldn’t be the first time
Jen,
I’m with you I spent pratically the whole movie in tears. I finally got tired of the tissue rubble on my face and got a hand towel and kept it next to me. What a love story huh? Cute card BTW. Love the paper and colors. The saying is too cute.
Michelle
I was just blog browsing and came across yours somehow haha! You have WONDERFUL cards I love them all they are so bright!
Adorable!! Your coloring is perfection…
ok, I totally cried during PS I love you too!! I told my mom about it and she went out and rented and called me crying too. Great movie!!
THe turtle card is great too!
You cried more than the Notebook, I think the whole movie theater was sobbing at the end of that movie. I am in real trouble then. The card is great, I can see why you hoard that paper its perfect! I am like that with Cosmo Cricket’s dutch girl line
Love this!…..I agree on the paper…Imaginisce really got it right with this and I was lucky and bought 5 sheets!! Actually I love their stuff cos’ its’ so versatile and the colors are an open invitation for me to go Stampin NUTZ. I have not see PS I Love You or the Notebook…..I work such goofy hours and my DH is a long distance truck driver so….we dont get to the movies as often as we would like. I did see Made of Honor which I loved and the critics didn’t….oh well what do they know?
