A Little Dirt Never Hurt Anyone…
Jun 21st, 2007 by Jen
Last night after dinner Tony asks me if I wanted to go get a sno-cone. Mmmm…hot summer day, icy-cold sno-cone. He didn’t have to ask me twice!! So, we strapped in Ellie in her car seat and we were off to the little sno-cone hut down the road. I ordered a Sour Apple and Cherry and Tony got a Strawberry and Vanilla. Ellie got just plain ice. We brought them home and went outside. I sat Ellie on the patio with her little cup of shaved ice and had a ball with it. Who knew ice could be so much fun?!?!? But wait…you know what would be even better? Dirt and ice!! Never before has she ever messed with the flower pots, but as soon as she was soaking wet it apparently seemed very appealing. My first instinct was to pull her away, but then I just let her play for a few minutes {we were close to bath time, so what the heck!}. Well…here is the result of dirt and ice…aka MUD:
Looks like she had fun:) I remember when my little was her age. Now she is 3 1/2 and thinks she is grown.:) LOL
Thanks for sharing.

What what great fun, she sure looks like she is having a good time.
WHAT fun!
AWWWWW!! I remember when my oldest DS was about that same age and found the ONE sprinkler in the lawn that was leaking and MUD fest began!! He had so much fun! (I remember it was a mess to try to get him thru the house tho!) I’m glad you let Ellie play!
I love to let my daughter play in the backyard with her gardening tools in the dirt. Sometimes she accidentally digs up my plants, but it’s all in good fun! Great pics.
Jen!! She is such a cutie pie!! I love her intense concentration on that dirt..she really is having a great time. ADORABLE!!
What a good mama you are!!! So smart to enjoy the moment!! (and to take pictures!!)
I could just bite those pudgy little legs!!!! She’s sooo cute and like I always say…A little dirt never hurt!
What a little darling.
OMgoodness! Too cute!
Ellie is adorable. She’ll get into the mud again! Spray and Wash Stain Stick is your friend and you can treat and wash it several days later.
Precious little girl! It’s so nice that you let her go ahead and play…what the heck is right! Life is too short to stay clean all the time! LOL Thanks for sharing this sweet little adventure!
