New My Favorite Things Stamps…

Posted by Jen | cards | Tuesday, May 15, 2007

They aren’t for sale yet, but I just had to show you this image to get your mouth watering! My Favorite Things is going to be releasing this set very very soon. I love this set! I see many Starbucks gift card holders being made!
A little about this card…The image was colored with reinkers and an Aquapainter. The dots on her dress were created with a white Signo pen and the main image is mounted on 1/8″ glue dots for a little “pop.”
I don’t have a lot of time this morning, so I am going to cut out the yipyap, but I do want to let you know something else…blog tarts are coming! :)

One Sheet Bag Challenge…

Posted by Jen | challenges | Saturday, May 12, 2007

I hosted Stamp Camp this week and we did a One Sheet Bag. You can find the instructions HERE. At first some people seemed kinda intimidated by this project with all the folding and taping and more folding and more taping, but in the end everyone was happy with their bags. I chose these stamps and sentiment because I thought it would be perfect for Mother’s Day, but could also be used for a birthday, graduation or congratulatory gift. These little bags are great for holding small gifts, candy or gift cards.

So, here’s your challenge…
Make a one sheet bag. Be sure to post it on your blog and then link it in the comments of this post. Links back to the challenge are appreciated as well.

Hope you all have a most beautiful Mother’s Day!

ETA: I was asked what makes this a bag and not a box. SCS calls it a box, but when I think of a box, I think of a lid to go with it. This is stuffed with tissue paper and looks like a bag to me. So, I guess it’s just a matter of opinion :)

What Did Wendy Win?…

I promised to show you what our blog tart winner, Wendy, won. It’s a coaster box kit. All the coasters and paper are pre-punched and the ribbon is cut and ready to be laced. I did one of these before and it was a hit. Last time I had many requests to buy them Yes, I do sell them. If you are interested, just email me :) Here is Wendy’s:

Behind The Scenes…

Posted by Jen | cards | Tuesday, May 8, 2007

That’s the name of the My Favorite Things stamp set used to create this card. When I first saw this set, I fell in love with the floral background and the polka dots. I used the floral background on this card, along with the sentiment from that set. I really like how the background almost looks like DP. This card almost didn’t get ribbon, but it was missing something and this stitched ribbon was the cure.
