It’s been a long time since I made an ATC {Artist Trading Card}, but I thought that it might be fun to create a Valentine themed ATC using the Inspired by Love set from My Favorite Things.

An ATC measures 2.5″ x 3.5″ and is the perfect palette for creating a small, yet fun, panel that can be given to someone on its own or added to a card or project as a panel or embellishment. I left this one as an ATC for now. I will probably end up adding it to a gift sack on Valentine’s packaging.

I stamped “LOVE” on the pink heart three times and kept staring at it thinking that it needed a little something. I decided to make the word “LOVE” stand out a little more by stamping in on white with Pink Passion {SU!} and then popping it up on the heart. That “little something” really made the difference here! Can you believe that I used THREE of the MFT Die-Namics on this little project? I am constantly reaching for these to create visual interest and added detail to panels. Used on this project are: Hearts a Plenty, the Open Scallop Border {on the right side of the ATC} and the soon to be released {tomorrow night!} Butterflies Die-Namics. Thank you all for your sweet comments on my kite card yesterday {yes, I know you were trying to win stuff, too!}. I **really** love that die and can’t wait to make some more cute spring cards with it!

Today is DAY TWO of teasers for the February release from My Favorite Things and there are some fun and funny things that the design team is showcasing today. My project features a sentiment from the new sassy sentiment set, Twisted Foursome. This set will make you laugh and there is certainly a sentiment for you to share with many of your girlfriends! This one just happened to be my personal favorite…

This a is frame that I picked up at Mike’s sometime last year and it’s just been sitting there waiting for a fun project like this. I gifted this to my friend, who I know appreciates what this has to say. LOL! The colors just happen to match her bathroom decor. LOL…again! I really wanted it to be a nice looking gift that just happened to deliver a little sass!

It’s DAY ONE of teasers for the next release from My Favorite Things. There’s a lot of fun and exciting new stamps and dies that will be released next Tuesday, February 1st.

Today I have a peek at the new Die-Namics die, Fly a Kite that is a companion to the new set, The Great Outdoors…

I knew that I wanted to give the pieces of the kite a little extra dimension, but I didn’t want the pieces sitting up too high. I get just a little, and I mean a little, extra depth I cut the element pieces {triangles} from a piece of cardstock and the blue dot pattern paper {Echo Park}. I adhered the pattern paper to the cardstock and then attached it to the kite base…

I love the bows that are part of the element pieces! I adorned them with some small Doodlebug Designs rhinestones…

The inside of the card is sweet and simple, using the same pattern papers from the front. I also repeated the cloud and heart Die-Namics…

Being that I am on the MFT DT with her, I decided to use MFT products. I mean, it just seemed fitting I used a sentiment from the Polka Dot Greeting Die and Stamp Set Duo along with Hearts a Plenty, Simply Scallops {coming Tuesday!} and the Layered Label Die-Namics {oval}.

There’s a lot of girls on the list to wish her a happy birthday, so I won’t keep you here any longer with a bunch of jibber jabber! Keep on a hoppin’ along to Michele’s blog.

Oh my goodness, is it time for a blog hop intervention or what? LOL! I seem to be a part of a lot these days! Today it’s the My Favorite Things VIP Blog Hop. If you have happened upon this post just cruising the blogosphere, don’t miss a thing and start at the beginning of the hop on the MFT blog. Over the past couple of days, the MFT Design Team has been showing the newest a la modes. Tonight we are all featuring the VIP Kit, which includes the newest Who’s That Girl {WTG} set, My How You’ve Grown. This one hits home with me! Nic just turned one at the beginning of the month and he is getting to be such a lil’ man! It was a loooooong first year! LOL! I am sure you moms can relate to those days that getting out of your jammies was a feat unto itself; days of getting in the shower before noon became rare and days and nights were one in the same according to your wee one. It took a while, but I am glad to say days like that are in the history books! However, I consider those days my muses for this card. You’ll notice that she is either in some really funky slacks, or in my eyes…her pajamas {Love the Echo Park paper for this card!!}!
