Sites of the week

Happy Friday blog world friends! It’s been a long crazy week that I kicked off puking my guts out. Nope, not pregnant, so don’t even ask! I’m feeling better now, but it really took the wind out of my sails for a few days. I finally sat down yesterday I got to creating a couple of cards. One of those cards I love and I’ll get to it in a sec. The other one is my SFYTT card for tomorrow and I am not loving it {whhaaaaaaa!!}. Either I will find time to make another today, or I am just going to have to live with it {gasp!!}.

Well, at least I get to show you the card that I love today. Yep, I do love it! I’m ok with saying it, too! This image, Fred Bear-Oopsie Daisy, is from the new release from My Favorite Things…

Ok, seriously…how cute is he with those flowers in hand!? I used one of my Cutterbees Rotary Piercing tools to create the “pattern” around the edges of the main image panel. I didn’t press down all the way so that it would not actually pierce holes, but rather just deboss the paper a little…

For the rosette, I used the 1/4″ Rosette Die-Namics die and cut it in half length wise and then attach the end together to make a long scored piece. From there, I created this rosette {topped with a Prima from my stash}…

I couldn’t just leave that sentiment on the front hanging…

The Simply Scallops Die-Namics die was used in the inside, as well as on the front of the card. I am truly addicted to Echo Park paper, so here’s your fair warning that this probably isn’t the end of the Springtime line on my blog! Ok, gotta run and live my ultra glamorous life…aka fold some laundry.

No time to jibber jabber today, so I will get straight to the point…a cute one, I might add!

Oh swoon! I just love the Pure Innocence line and this lil’ doll from the Pure Innocence Warm Fuzzies set just set my heart a flutter! There are so many things you can do with this image…paper piecing, flocking, color with darker colors or shadow with light colors {like I did here with pink and my colorless blender}…

I used the Die-Namics Flat Bottom Clouds cut from white felt to help set the scene…

Inside of card…

Both the front and inside have hearts cut from the Heart a Plenty Die-Namics die. I can’t seem to put that one away!

Tomorrow {Tuesday, March 1} is the new release from My Favorite Things. The DT is continuing to post teasers of all the new sets that are being released. I mentioned the other day that there is a little something for everyone in this release. So far I have shown cute and sassy, as well as simple and scrappy. Today I am doing something completely opposite…elegant.

The Inspired by Flowers sets is GORGEOUS! I love the Sweet Peas…

Although there are lots of layers, this is still a fairly simple card. I avoided fancy embellishments and let the new Dizzy Doily stand out from under the main image panel. This is a great die of substantial size that will add that little something to many cards.

Ok, I’m off to hang out with the Ellie Bellie. She just got back in town yesterday from being with family in California. She had a blast at Disneyland. We had a blast {ok, not really} painting her room…THREE coats of pink paint!! We are glad that she is back home. Pics of her room to come…it is SO CUTE!!!!!

As an fan of My Favorite Things, you may have noticed that they are constantly diversifying their product lines to accommodate the ever changing industry and to add more versatility in the ways the products can be used. This release has a few scrappy sets that are great for card making and scrapping. I love the set that we are doing MFT Teasers with today, SAY WHAT? It coordinates with the Say What? Die-Namics die set, too {even better, huh?}.

I decided to go with a simple style on this card, using the Simply Scallops Die-Namics {my FAVORITE ONE ever!} to create a background to the “XOXO” sentiment. The heart in the sentiment {in the Say What Die-Namics word bubble} is popped up a little for some added depth/interest..

I kept with the simple style on the inside, too…

It’s Teaser Time at My Favorite Things! The new release is just around the corner…Tuesday night to be exact. Holey Moley is there something for everyone in this release…elegant, cutsie, wild and scrappy are some adjectives that come to mind when describing what will be in store soon.

Speaking of wild, I let the Zebra print in the new set Sweet & Sassy take center stage as I created this card…

This set coordinates with the Sweet Stack Die-Namics dies {also being released Tuesday}. The zebra print is actually in the shape of the bottom die on the focal panel, but I stamped it twice {slightly overlapping the print} and then cut it out with the Simply Scallops Die-Namics to be able to use it at the top and bottom of my card, as well. I had to go with this color combination because the sentiments just remind me of my sassy teenager days. Please note the off center bow. It’s like my card has it’s own side ponytail. LOL!

And what’s the perfect word to follow “Seriously?”…
