YaY! It’s the weekend and it is going to be FAB-U-LOUS! Today I am getting a massage and then we are picking up Grandma at the airport for a fun visit. Sunday, Susan and I head out to sunny Southern SoCal for CHA to get our craft on with some of my favorite peeps…including those from The Cat’s Pajamas and SFYTT. Which leads me right into what I have going on here today…

I’ve noted the changes {upgrades?} that we made this year to SKETCH FOR YOU TO TRY {SFYTT}, but I am going to go over them once more in case you are new here or missed them last time they were posted…

Just so you know how it will work…All of the Sisters will post on the first Saturday of the month, then 1/2 will post on the 2nd Saturday and the other 1/2 will post on the 3rd Saturday and then we all come together again during the last week {not necessarily the last Saturday for all of the designers} of the month.

Ever have one of those crafty moments when you say, “Um, this isn’t how I thought this would turn out!”? Well, I had one of those yesterday while creating my card for this week’s TCP Tuesday, by Hipster Hostess Lori Tecler, challenge using these colors…

I don’t know if it was the cold medication or if I was having trouble putting together the colors, but I fidgeted with this card for a long while before I came up with this…

I like it, but it’s not what I had in head. I was envisioning something a little scrappier and papers that flowed a little better. Ah, ya win some and some you think could have been better {different?}…that’s how that phrase goes, right?

Did you make it to the release party on the TCP forum on SCS? I popped in for a little while, but I have to say that I was totally drained after running from Nic’s doctor appt. and then to get a chest x-ray and to the pharmacy a couple times after getting a call that it may be pneumonia. What a Monday! Here’s to a better rest of the week!

I have had a lot fun with all the new goodies from TCP! I have a couple more projects to show. As I said above, I am drained from a {very} long day, which was after a {very} long night filled with Nic coughing {and coughing!} and thunder loud enough to shake the house. Fortunately, it did not wake Ellie who is **not** a fan of thunder. So, I am keeping the chatter to a minimum, heading to bed {can you tell I am pre-posting?} and sending you to the next stop along the hop…

LORI’S BLOG!

Happy Monday! I hope you all had a fun weekend! We had a fun time celebrating Nic’s 2nd birthday…

Unfortunately, he woke up with a fever yesterday and we are going to make his 2 year well check a sick visit today…poor baby!

As for what’s been going on creatively, I have been busy working on a bunch of different things. Your Next Stamp is introducing a new line, illustrated by design team member Jenny Suchin. She has several sets that are being released this week and I have a little peek for you today…

This set comes with a fun lil’ image, too, but I am saving that for a card that I have made for release day, January 11.

As you can see, I used a {ever so trendy} map in this card, too. I have wanted to play in a Moxie Fab challenge for a long time and I am finally taking the plunge in the Map to Your Heart Challenge. You can find all the details for the challenge HERE.

I have a couple more pics from Nic’s Cars ‘n Cupcakes Birthday. I tried not to be too “theme-y,” but had a little fun with the cars that I cut on my Silhouette, along with the colors blue, orange and red.
