Coffee & Friends…

Posted by Jen | Lil' Inker, projects | Thursday, January 10, 2013

Hip, hip, hooray I was able to find a little more stamping time today! This is actually the second project/card I made today. The first one that I made will be posted tomorrow. You’ll notice that there are some definite similarities…cardstock, paper and embellishments. As much as it sounds like I’m going to just be posting the same project twice, I assure you that I am not. I just didn’t have time to reinvent the wheel and went with what I had going on already on my desk. Hey…when craft time happens during naptime you gotta do what you gotta do. Plus, I am absolutely LOVING the ON TREND collection from Crate Paper. I used it on a gift card holder here…

The images and sentiment are from the Coffee Cozy set from Lil’ Inker Designs. Here’s a detail of the cups and cozy {die cut and crimped}…

To create the gift card holder:

1. Cut cardstock to 3 1/4″ x 11″
2. Score at 4″ and 8″
3. Round corners {as desired}
4. Fold pocket in and adhere down
5. Embellish as desired. I created a front panel and attached it to a belly band.

I only adhered the bottom portion of the pocket since I did the belly band on the outer portion…

This was super easy to put together and can be designed/embellished for any occasion. I’m already seeing lotsa hearts for a Valentine’s Day holder!

    This is a super fun idea. I love those coffee cups and the addition of the buttons really makes them pop.
