Sites of the week

Howdy friends! Did you enjoy your long weekend? We had a wonderful and relaxing weekend here…and then there was the packing part. Oh, how I will be forever grateful when this is all said and done! The poolside cupcakes at our community summer end party was truly the icing on the cake…in more ways than one! I even tried a lemon basil cupcake. One word sums it up…YUM!

The end of summer was the theme for this week’s challenge for The Cat’s Pajamas…

I’ve been wanting to try the pattern paper starburst on a card for a while now, but could never think of an easy way to do it. I’ve looked at how some people have done it and each seems more tedious than the next, which is the exact reason that I am a self-proclaimed “not a technique person.” The way I did it was just to cut a bunch of triangles, adhere and trim as needed. I seriously laughed at myself the entire time I was working on it. Ever have one of those moments? {please tell me that I am not alone}.
