Leap Day…
Thirty days hath September,
April, June and November;
All the rest have thirty-one
Save February, she alone
Hath eight days and a score
Til leap year gives her one day more.
Here’s to that ONE DAY MORE today! Happy Leap Day! I tried looking {very briefly} for some fun leap day facts, but my search was not very fruitful. However, I did learn that “the tradition of women romantically pursuing men in leap years began in 5th century Ireland, when St. Bridget complained to St. Patrick about the fair sex having to wait for men to propose. Patrick finally relented and set February 29 aside as the day set aside allowing women the right to ask for a man’s hand in marriage.” {from chiff.com} It goes on to say that the Americanized tradition of this is Sadie Hawkins.
It’s a good thing that I am better at stamping than digging up fun facts on Leap Day! Today I am sharing a card featuring the Robo Love stamp from Market Street Stamps…
Isn’t he cu-uuuute? Detail shot…
I loved the pink cheeks and dimples that Angelica put on her robot a while back and I just had to add them to my metal man! I thought about coloring him in orange or blue, but I just had to go with the look of metal. If I would have thought about it at the time, I would have created a small metal sheet embossed layer. Oh well! I like the way the metal accents that I used worked with this image. Metallic embellies/accents are almost a must with this guy…in my opinion, at least!
Well, I just created my to-do list and it is a little out of control, so I’m gonna check out and get to it! Have a great day!

EEK…super cute card!
