Valentine, Be Mine…
Just wanted to make a quick post showing the Valentines that Ellie and Nic will be passing out to their classmates tomorrow. I’m sure that you will recognize the ideas from various blogs/Pinterest and I apologize that I don’t know who to credit with these darling original ideas.
Nic’s Valentines…
The shovels {purchased on eBay} are inside a cello bag with a handful of Valentine Hershey Kisses. Each bag is tied off with red and white curling ribbon {purchased on clearance after Christmas} and a personalized computer generated sentiment…
Ellie’s Valentines…
In hindsight, I wish that I had her wearing a pink or red shirt. However, this was not the first “photo shoot” for this card, so I just had to cut my losses at some point and go with it. The picture is edited in Picnik {sniffle…I wish they weren’t closing!} and then sent to Walgreens. Add a $2 bag of lollipops and we ended up with super personalized Valentines for under $8…not too shabby.

Darling valentines!! I have seen those shovel packages but they are cute no matter what! I’m sure your children’s friends will love it! I wish my boys would care enough to have something made up! Lol! They are happy with simple and easy!
So cute! Love the shovels! I didn’t know Picnik was closing. That IS sad.
So cute! Ellie is just adorable and looking so grown up! I really wanted to do the “I Dig You” shovel valentines this year (I think I re-pinned them from your board) for Dean because they look like sand shovels, which are perfect for the beach here, but his school has a strict “No Candy” policy, and I couldn’t think of anything to put in there with the shovel! So I went with a little plastic heart-shaped maze toy and attached them to a computer-generated “You are a-MAZE-ing” card and called it done. They’re cute, but I much prefer the shovel! Very cool and yours turned out great!!
What a neat way to present the kisses and cute tag! The card w/your dd holding the heart sucker w/the personalized message is great! Surely these Valentines will be well-received! TFS and I hope YOU have a LOVING Valentine’s Day, Jen!
Finally some new & clever Valentine ideas; thanks for sharing!
VERY clever, I LOVE the shovels how adorable!! If my kids were still little I would soo be copying this idea for next year! LOL
