Happy New Baby…

I have to say that there’s no better inspiration for a card than finding out that your friends had their baby! That’s just the kind of news I got yesterday morning as I was thinking of the card that I wanted to make. So, off I ran {the whole 4 steps} to my Verve drawer and scooped out several sets and got to work. I think that I might still be in an Independence Day mood judging by my color choices….LOL! Those three pattern papers were actually just sitting on top of my scraps and I thought that they worked well together, so I went with it. When it was all said and done…

I colored Emery with my warm gray Copic markers to match the gingham pattern paper…

The stars were punched with my ol’ SU! star punches and stamped with my favorite Bountiful Backgrounds set

I’m kinda stuck on sentiment flags with buttons and a bow {Baker’s twine here, but I’m always up for Linen Thread, too!}.The sentiment is from the To the Moon set {as is the “Oh Boy” sentiment}…

Did you notice the panel that Emery is “sitting” on? It’s the Verve Classy Label die and is stamped with the coordination label image from Love Notes. I have to say that my brain is churning with some fun ideas for school with this die and stamp combo. Hmmm…off to jot these down in my journal. Have a great day!!
