Happy first Saturday of the month! Now, I am guess if you are here you might already know just what that means. Just in case you are a newbie, I introduce the new SKETCH FOR YOU TO TRY of the month {along with the continued chance at a FANTABULOUS prize package!…deets below!} on the first Saturday of each month. I really like the sketch this month {don’t I every month, tho!?} and I think {hope} you will, too. But, first I have a few bits of biz-ness to take care of before we get to the sketch! ;)

First, I would like to thank The Cat’s Pajamas for sponsoring last month! The {random} winner of the TCP set of their choice that used TCP stamps last month is…

#113 Jessie Rone {Jess, email me and we’ll get you all set up!}

This month, we have another wonderful sponsor…ANITA BE STAMPIN!

Anita has been a blast to work with so far and I cannot say enough about the product! These rubber stamps are deeply etched, cling mounted red rubber that stamp like a dream! I really did enjoy working with these and per our back and forth emails, the SFYTT Sisters did, too! And, I have to say a little something about the packaging…cute, cute, cute! Thank you Anita for sponsoring us this month! She is generously offering a $25 gift certificate to one participant playing with ABS stamps on this month’s SFYTT {see all deets below}.

I’ll get back to the stamps in just a second, but first, here is the sketch for February…

This month’s Designer of the Month has a wonderful signature style with clean design and simple lines {love! love! love!}. A very warm welcome to Becky Carafa!!

A little about Becky in her own words…
Hi there stamping friends! I am so excited to be the SFYTT guest designer this month! My name is Becky Carafa, and I started stamping 10 years ago. My style is generally clean-er and simpl-er, though occasionally I like to add a few layers and fun embellishments. My favorite technique is paper piecing, it’s so fun! On the home front, I have been married to my husband Chad for 9 years, and we have a 4-1/2 year old son (Adam) and a 6-month old daughter (Annika). I used to be a physical education teacher, but now I am blessed to be able to stay home with the kids. I can’t wait to see what you all create with this sketch!

–>NOTE: Each month I choose a new Designer of the Month from previous month’s participants. I will freely admit that I am the worst at leaving comments on blogs and SCS, but that doesn’t mean that I am not checking it all out! I am constantly checking out the links for a new Designer of the Month.

Here’s her sketch sample using the Anita Be Stampin’ set, Bears & Bunches {such a cute name!}…

1. The SKETCH FOR YOU TO TRY {SFYTT} will be posted on the first Saturday of each month on www.iheart2stamp.com at 8am EST and will stay open to participants until the last day of the month, unless otherwise noted.
2. This is for fun! Interpret the sketch as you wish and embellish as desired. There are no vendor restrictions, but we would love to see you use the sponsor’s stamps!
3. Each month we will have a Designer of the Month that will be chosen from past month’s participants.
4. Come and play with us on each and every sketch! On Christmas Day 2011 a prize package worth over $200 will be given away to one very lucky and loyal SFYTT stamper that participates in EVERY sketch for the year.
5. To be eligible for the prize package, you must complete ALL of the sketches by each of the deadlines AND link your creation to the link system on that month’s sketch post (the first Saturday of the month). Everyone except for SFYTT Sisters are eligible for the prize package, including Designer of the Month and international players.
6. When posting your sketch creation on your blog, please post the sketch and link back to the sketch post on www.iheart2stamp.com. When posting to online galleries, please use the keyword “SFYTT.”
