Release Day at Verve…

Posted by Jen | Verve, projects | Friday, October 8, 2010

Yep, more BRAND NEW STAMPS! My mailbox has been full of them lately and I love it! I love when my Verve Design Team package arrives. I take a moment before I open it and then I stare at all the new Verve goodies as it were Christmas. Then I go straight to my notebook and jot down my “first look” ideas. I new that I wanted to do something “big” when I got these stamps in the mail, but I wasn’t quite sure what I wanted to do. I looked back through some older projects and found THIS altered file folder project that I made a few years back. Susan had come over and we both worked on making one. It was a lot of fun, both hanging out and crafting the day away. With that project in mind, I got to work on another file folder and this is what I came up with {lots of pics coming up!}…

Cover…
filefolder_cover

I cut a free SVG flourish that I found online HERE with my Cricut. I love the detail that it gave to the cover design! Here’s a little detail shot of the stamping on the cover using the Autumn Splendor set…

Inside of cover with a sentiment from the Bountiful Harvest set…

Detail of paper pieced leaves from the Autumn Splendor set…

This is the panel just to the right of the inside cover…

The paper pieced pumpkins are from the Bountiful Harvest set…

Next panel, using the Every Season Plain Jane, flowers from the Many Blessings set and same flourish SVG file from the cover…

Last panel, using the turkey from the Bountiful Harvest set…

The sentiments across the inside tags and on the side of the file folder are from the Bountiful Blessings set. This was a lot of fun to make, and once I got going was really quick. You can find all of the instructions on how to make one of these HERE.

All of these stamps will be available to purchase on the Verve site HERE at 2pm EST. You may see a list of all sneak previews HERE and the will also be available to view in the Verve Gallery HERE. Happy Stamping!!

PS-Be sure to leave a comment here and and all the sneak peek posts for a chance to win some some free Verve stamps! Good luck!

PSS-See you tomorrow for a SFYTT card that is matchy matchy to this project! :)
